SPG Moments is such a terrific program!!!

Mike? You're actually a 13 year old girl?

Glad you enjoyed the show.

I tried to look through the SPG US Open site but it looks like all the Fixed Price items are sold out. Just for future reference are these released on a particular date?

I don't think I have enough points to compete against some of the big spenders but would certainly be willing to spend 35k-40k for a nice luxury suite at a game.

They are not listing nearly as many fixed price concert events this year as they have in the past. Too bad- I have seen some amazing concerts in the paat few years courtesy of Starwood.

Quick question - Does anyone know if the promenade level seats offered for US open are lower level or upper level?

Did the chicago cubs moment where a child runs out onto the field for pregame introductions to have a ball signed by the player at their position. Came with 2 box seats as well. Did the Cardinals 3:05 game today and bought 2 packages for my 2 nephews and brought my brother. Good seats row 3 very close to the Steve Bartman seat actaully. Face value on each ticket was $120 and the kids got a hat and ball that they then got autographed after running onto the field. Very good value for 7,500 points for 2 tix and 1 child. So for 15k I had 4 tix and two kids onto the field.

Great value IMO. Off to Scotland for my next moment at Turnberry and then the Open Championship, leaving Sunday.

I did notice that they added another 75k offer for turnberry for a very short time on the spg auction recently. Did someone pull out or did they include an extra package for 2?
All in all that makes 8 for the turnberry package adding to the 10 packages for 2 for the Open in the hospitality tents for Saturday and Sunday.
Look forward to meeting you all there on Saturday.

Does hotel nights "won" as parts of Moments packages qualify for Platinum benefits and/or count towards Platinum status ?

We found this in the Terms and Conditions:

• Hotel stays included within SPG Moments offers earn status toward elite if the redeeming/winning member consumes the stay, but they do not earn Starpoints and do not count as either stays or nights toward promotional requirements.

As for receiving elite member benefits, properties are encouraged (but apparently not forced) to extend all elite member benefits to keep in line with the SPG program itself.

Someone from the Ambassador team alerted me that there was a Moments concert available at the Westin Boston while I am staying there. 15,000 points for 2 tickets turned into:

* Open bar, even during the concert
* Hot appetizer buffet
* Private concert with OneRepublic, with only ~150 people in attendance

There was a giveaway of the Westin Heavenly Bed as the door prize. For everyone else, we all got a gift bag that included the latest OneRepublic CD, autographed by the band, $25 iTunes gift card, a photobook of Starwood resorts, and SPG box of chocolate.

It was worth every point spent. ^

Upper I believe. The ones for 10k spg points for 2 tickets. IIRC that's what I read.

If anyone has fancied visting the Sheraton Algarve in Portugal, there's a fantastic Moments package to the Summer Gala featuring Ne-Yo, including

◾A two-night (2-night) stay for two (2) at the Sheraton Algarve Hotel, Albufeira, checking in on Saturday, August 3, and checking out on Monday, August 5, 2013
◾Welcome cocktail and meals provided throughout the weekend
◾Two (2) Platinum tickets to the Sheraton Algarve Summer Gala on Sunday, August 4, 2013
◾Premium seating for two (2) at the Ne-Yo concert on Sunday
◾Opportunity for two (2) to meet Ne-Yo on Sunday
◾Access for two (2) to the after-party on Sunday

Retail value of this is well over a thousand Euros, so hope a FT-er can take advantage. Current highest bid is only 5,500 Starpoints.
