how much? paid comparison >
7402 > 10120 2 'room'
8216 > 11234 2BR royal
(+814 > +1114)
good to hear 2 'adjacent' worked well
luxury with inclusive rates are nice re no bill / signing, ive had bills for only gifts and spa, and if one gets a credit via paid travel agency booking that can take care of those or alcohol

I booked Al Maha today.
It came through as 66k per night.
60k normal rate + 6k for the 'suite upgrade'.
Thought it was best to go with this and try to adjust the rate later.
The SPG agent had no problem at all booking it... the Marriott agent I initially spoke to had rather a lot more difficulty.

Same here. I did get one agent who quoted me 60k points but said the rates weren't loaded.

I booked this at 12:23 London time, just before grabbing my lunch.
Will report back if/when I get the extra 6k per night refunded.
Good luck

System took 60k x 4 nights (5th night a bonus) but took 6k x 5 nights (30K). I thought the flat charge for Cat 7 was 60k? The Ritz Beach Resort in Dubai is a Cat 7 and a suite so I don't get it.
