I do not have any updated news on this property yet as it is still quite some time before I prepare for any opening materials.

Any further updates from Starwood Lurkers?

At least... any idea, what SPG category this might be?

Nothing concrete on its Category so far.

It is scheduled to open late 2012.

Also found Vana Belle, Koh Samui while searching for trip in January '13 and of course someone is already talking about it on FT
Any updates? Loooks like it will be a high end hotel/luxury collection. Do such new hotels have great promotions or are prices + points going to be high?

Odd, when I start such threads they are deleted as the moderator 'wants to start the thread off with a thorough review' posting.

Does anyone know more about the opening date? The website now says "Opening December 1", but the rooms still aren't bookable...

The hotel's website shows an opening date of December 1, 2012 so I would use that as the most updated info.

As to when will the channels be opened for booking? Let me check.

Seeing as W Koh Samui fluctuates between 6 and 7, I'll place my bet on Cat7. Any takers?
