NY City / Algonquin Hotel, Autograph Collection / Lounge open for breakfast only (not eve) M-F; welcome drink coupon; 07/14/12 update
Just stayed there last night so 9/27/2012 update
Lounge closed (some issues so I hope it is temporary). Got a "continental breakfast" coupon. When ordered an omelet (only $1 more on the menu) I got charged $3 "difference". Go figure.
Didn't get welcome drink coupon either and a cappuccino and a fruit plate desert cost me over $25! Ugh!

Marriott Hollywood Beach (FL) - Lounge: key accessible 24/7 for beverages. No food on weekends, hotel has stopped giving vouchers to anyone including platinums for breakfast. Noted it was a recent change to be in line with corporate policy.

Marriott Marquis Harborside San Diego
Lounge closed on the weekend. No coupons for anything even for Plats.
Lounge is nice with a great view of the harbor from the 24th floor of the south tower, but it is small and crowded during breakfast with limited walking space around the seating.
Bar drinks are expensive, about the same as at the hotel bars. Breakfast selection was nice with several hot dishes, no rotation for breakfast, I saw the same choices for seven days with the exception of some different bakery choices from day to day.
Evening light meal and desserts did rotate. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Marriott City Center, Charlotte, NC info is not completely correct. They open limited hours on weekend. Will note down exact hours when I am there again on Sunday.
The older gentleman providing service in lounge is very courteous and manages great food/ dessert options. Couple of weeks ago, he served 4 types of cookies and pound cake with fresh strawberries for dessert. If I can get out of work by 7pm one of these days, I definitely want to check it for dinner.
Breakfast looks pretty elaborate but again... never eaten there so far. I generally grab fruit+yogurt+perrier and run to work.
