According to Amex this is not a new product just a branding change so if you held the SPG Amex card in the past you will not receive the welcome bonus. Now there are some people who have gotten the bonus more than once.

Offers now live on GCR - $50 for personal and $60 for business.

I still don't see the 15 nights being communicated as an official benefit on the Amex site....

Any idea how long does it take to count as a New Customer again?
I also had an Canadian SPG Amex, but it was cancelled in 2012 (or was it 2013..., but sufficiently to say 5+ years ago.) Would I qualify for the new customer offer?

You wouldn't be considered a "new customer" if you've had the Canadian SPG Amex card in the past according to Amex. Now, that's not to say if you applied you might get the bonus as others have reported but don't be disappointed if you don't.

Got my card last week and the 15 nights showed up this week. Much faster than expected.

...Albeit I didn't expect them to post until my Anniversary date with Amex which is in April? Nonetheless, one good thing has happened!

I applied for the card today but didn't know about the Great Canadian Rebates offer (or Great Canadian Rebates at all for that matter). that's a bit of a drag - nice that this is posted for the others looking to apply!

If you are a current SPG Amex card holder(CDN) do you need to apply for the new Bonvoy card or does it come to you automatically? Do I have to stop using my card?

I have a friend who is interested in this card. Would she still get the 15 Elite nights for 2019 if she applied now? I’m guessing yes, but was wondering if anyone knows for sure.
