Where did you see the "no fee" offer ? I see nothing about it on SPG website... just the 120$ fees as usual.

Anyway... I took the card during the 20k promo... and now have big issues with my SPG account.
Amex created a new SPG number for which I had no information (even not the number). Don't need to say I gave my actual number during suscription.
So I called Amex to join the new account with mine. And now, I cannot access at my account ! I received the morning a automatic email saying my E-mail adress was remouved from my account. Impossible to connect with the number. Impossible to (re-)activate. Called SPG, the only thing the agent said was "It should be a bug try latter". Of course, It didn't work latter...
So for now, no access at all to my account !

If anyone still wants the 20,000 point sign up offer (with $120 annual fee), I am able to refer you if you PM me your email address.

Generally it is, but if you look at the link some post before, if you use the right code fees are waived for the 1st year...

Is this resolved? If not, you can send me your SPG account number and I'll look into it further.

Referral bonus

Be prepared to fight for your referral bonus! I referred my sister back in July, and called Amex 5 times to get my 5000 pt referral bonus. (I kept track of the dates and who I spoke to each time.) This week they told me it was posted into my account on Jan 4th, so should be transferred to SPG on the 27th (today). I asked about courtesy points for the hassle, so they gave me an extra 1000. So that's 200 pts per phone call.
