Talk about pulling chains. The sounds of teeth-grinding are deafening. Hilarious.

not be rude to you bro...but why would you have a conversation like that with a supervisor of all things? You have possibly contributed to killing the goose....again.

New one for me - today a box showed up not fully sealed. Of the 2 top flaps, only 1 was taped at the distribution point. Box resealed by USPS and stamped as such. Seems QC at PBGS is slipping.

when dollar coins are worth > $1 ?

i was looking through an online collectible coin price guide for reasons not related to the dollar coins we all buy from the mint, and stumbled across our dear sacajawea's and presidential dollar coins listed there (right hand side, under "dollars")

http://www.pcgs.com/prices/default.aspx

now what i'm trying to figure out is how to read their matrices of info, because it sure looks to me like for some reason many of these dollar coins are valued at more than $1. could we possibly have been depositing coins at our banks that were collectibles??

someone set me straight please ..

PCGS is known to overvalue collectible coins. A better comparator would be ebay. Some folks have flipped rolls of dollar coins there.

Bk value and what someone will actually pay you are two different things.

Important: The PCGS Price Guide prices apply only to PCGS-graded coin

PCGS is a grading service so it's not unexpected that they value coins they grade as worth more.

So if you took a really nice $1 Washington and paid them to $14 to slab it, you too might have a $1 they say is worth $8

i remember reading somewhere about banks being required to report cash deposits of certain values. i know there is a $10k limit to be reported to the irs, but these were some sort of internal bank limits that most institutions have. the number $2k sticks in my head. anyone know what im referring to?

It's only an issuing if you're trying to hide criminal activity. if youre doingit for miles, no one cares (*until you get busted by the FBI and forced into the perp walk*)

Reminds me of the kid, who at the very end of the school day, asks the teacher "Is there any homework?"
