It's not a game, it's a lifestyle.

Just yesterday, while depositing $1,000 at a new branch, a bank employee asked the usual question. When I leveled with him, he was soooo excited because he was 5,000 miles short for an award ticket he wanted. He was extremely appreciative of the info.

At another branch, an employee told me about a "deal" he has going with "importing" Mexican Centenarios.

And yet another told me that these look uncirculated, which would fetch a better than face value price. I bet he "bought" them back from his branch and is on e-bay. Yes, they are so shiny and pretty aren't they ?

In general, I have found coin acceptance more positive lately compared to the end of 2009.

Could someone give us newer members a brief bio on the infamous Mr Pickles?

(was stoked to see a self serve coin counter at the bank today. No more dealing with tellers and questions!)

He will be speaking at the FT Chicago DO as one of the "Legends of Flyertalk".
Perhaps he could post a mini bio on this, his native thread.

Also, for more info, see Chicago DO thread, seminar #8 info.

From what I've seen, most rolls only fetch $26 or so. Maybe low $30's if you give free shipping. By the time you pay fees and shipping and factor your time, it's not worth it at all.
