I love how the Mint has the disclaimer about immediate bank deposit at the top of the page and then the let you proceed with an order of 50 boxes. Like many people have a legitimate need for 12,500 $1 coins. lol

I skip that day of school when they taught us how to crack a safe.

Except this Fort Knox only has like 15,000 miles in it. Its nice to top off accounts, but with the limits in place, doesn't get me too excited.

Okay, now i'm curious. Do you mean using a different zip code? There is nowhere to type in a code IIRC when ordering coins. Is there another method or are u just pulling my leg? I forgot the secret handshake

The handshake is the only way to validate your brotherhood.

Don't forget the secret password too. I'll post it here if everyone promises not to post it on FW ...

Sometimes I wonder how a bank employee will handle this hobby himself if he/she is in it. I presume it is going to be a piece of cake since he/she can deposit as many coins he wants without any questions asked specially if it is a managerial post. Wow! that would be fun

I'm fairly new to this thing and doing it on smaller scale. I'm lucky enough to work a block from my bank and a block from the post office so it makes the logistics pretty easy.

I was at the bank (CU actually) today and just asked the manager flat out what they thought of the deposits (disclaimer: I spend what I can but I do end up with some deposits) and he response was that they didn't mind and they would just as soon take them rolled as it saves them the hassle of counting the coins plus they can reuse them in the drawers.

He then asked "So, what kind of game are you running here that gets you all these dollar coins?" I told him the truth and he shrugged and said that it sounded like a pretty good idea.

You then take the coins to a private parking garage. In the basement you'll find a brown door. Knock three times and give the password, "The Soviet regime has taken Berlin."
