What are fellow FTers thoughts on the new policy against "immediately" depositing the coins in the bank?

1) Just the other day I happened to find a 2001 Sacagawea in my drawer. I have no idea where I got it.
2) I was at the Seminole Hard Rock casino last week, and thought it was really cool when I put an NA coin in a tip jar (let's not discuss the politics of NA Casinos, please). I realized on the way out that it may not have been cool at all! Sacagawea was no Seminole. For all I know they could have been warring tribes!

Two interesting anecdotes:

thanks for pointing out the meaning of Sacagawea.
I wonder why the Mint now has 2001 version available? That is from 8 years ago!

later this week
Later this week I plan on direct depositing some coins as tips in Punta Cana ..
Also I exchanged $100 in coins for $ 100 bill at Foxwoods in Connecticut. Does this make me a Patriot or a true American ?

+1 for the answer.
-1 to the Mint for the lame-o move to clear out their warehouse of 2001 coins.

Gone With The Wind
Well I had a small order into the mint that was finally shipped. Was due today but I never received the morning phone call alerting me that a shipment was to be delivered. So I checked the tracking number:
LOUISVILLE, KY, US 01/06/2010 4:18 A.M. MERCHANDISE IS MISSING. UPS WILL NOTIFY THE SENDER WITH ADDITIONAL DETAILS. / PACKAGE WAS DAMAGED AND IS BEING HELD AT A UPS LOCATION
Anyone ever had this happen? How long before the Mint reshipped or refunded?
They can be pretty annoying. They cancelled one of my orders but had put a temp charge on my card which tied up some of my credit for almost a week before they removed it.
Wondering if anyone else had had these problems.
It's also annoying how they accept an order and keep slipping the ship date back. If it were a private concern that acted like this, they'd likely be out of business based on customer dis-satisfaction.

I kinda like the new boxes. I don't have to "rebox" them all and they take up the same amount of space as reboxed coins.

I didn't like the new boxes at first, until I realized I could just cut off the flaps of the interior boxes and drop them in a larger box. The interior boxes make good "trays" with the flaps cut off.

You're not going against the Mint directive by immediately depositing them , are you !

Honestly, I *do* care. The ease of getting rid of these coins varies a lot in my neck of the woods. Spending John Adams coins got me politically based refusals on 3 occaisions. Otherwise, presidential ones are generally easier than NA ones, and I'd bet the 2001 NAs are going to be even harder.
