Experience with immediate deposits

This is a true story.

Yesterday, I got a knock at the door. I opened it and, to my horror, two men in black coats stood there. Well, I could call them men, but that's an inaccurate description. They had long, sharp teeth, cardboard boxes where their hands should have been, and instead of eyes, they had presidential dollar coins.

One of them looked at me and said, "We know you haven't been complying with the intended purpose of the program." I asked them if I had broken any laws, but my protests were futile. They threw me on the floor and held my hands down with boxes of Andrew Jackson coins. Oh, the irony, if they only understood that president's objection to a centralized bank.

Then, they picked me up and forced 10,000 dollar coins into a backpack, which they threw at me. Finally, they made me go to 10,000 different stores and spend a dollar at each to get the coins into circulation.

Please, I'm begging you, don't try to get cute with this program. It could happen to you.

Mikeef,

Man, I needed a good laugh this morning and you just gave me one. The Andrew Jackson bit was perfect!

Id think somehow since it was announced at 1 time that someone found some more and The Mint put it back up on its site. Now that they have been spoken for, they are all out for the time being

Of cause if Disney decides to go with it again next yr or the Banks change their minds and go with it then we wont be needd

Banks change their mind? About what? Banks don't order coins from the Mint. They order them from the Federal Reserve.

You are correct as far as you go, Chimmy826. However, before the "direct" program the coins from the Mint did get to the banks somehow, right? Essentially, the banks order coin from the Fed which gets new coins from the Mint. So...it is correct that if the banks suddenly wanted dollar coins then the Mint wouldn't need us.

Perfect Eid Presents

I will be giving these coins as Eid presents for my nieces.....that should comply with the Mint's desire for me to circulate them.

Besides, most kids want money during Eid al Adha and Eid al Fitr...
