Native American Coins from the US Mint
Are these coins acceptable to bank like the $1 Presidential Coins?
Can you deposit them without any trouble?
Need some help here

the letter
I'm calling B.S. on Mr. Jurkowsky's comments on blocking customers. The article said that "fewer than 400 buyers were blocked". It just so happens that zero is less than 400, so maybe it is the literal truth. If pressed, I bet he is including the sporadic cancellations of Presidential coin orders that exceeded the household limit of two per President (a limit that is not heavily enforced).
The article mentioned the letter and stated that "customer's who didn't respond were blocked from the program." We all saw the letter. I don't recall that it required any response.
If none of use got blocked and no one on Fatwallet got blocked, who are these "fewer than 400 people"? I was in the 75K - 100K range, which is no where near Mr. Pickles, but appears to be fairly large based on the article. It is an anonymous board, please post if you were "blocked".

I thought the letter said we had to contact The Mint if we had a reason for continuing to order large quantities of dollar. I didn't contact, because I didn't intend on ordering "large quantities." To me, "large quantities"= $100,000++. Am I wrong on this one? Whats a few more thousand or so?
I didn't get the letter fortunately. I had a lot of orders, but they were always $5,000 - $7,500 and shipped to a business address.

I never got the letter and, based on what MrPickles said... I have a feeling he's not the biggest earner from this.

It was about 1) earning my 2MM Lifetime Platinum on American Airlines before the program ended, 2) encouraging others to participate with a more robust ordering pattern.
I have no doubt that there are others who have ordered MORE than I have. And I have no doubt that there are others who have never posted here who have ordered more coins than I have.

I am sure you would agree you could of accomplished both without plastering it on the front page, but as some of us decide to stay silent on our purchases you have the same right to talk about them.

I'm assuming Mr. Pickles leveraged his banking relationships in a similar manner. If you are making them money they'll grit their teeth and help you, if not it could be sayonara dear customer.
You will never hear about many of the people that own businesses that might be doing this, bypassing any traditionally visible (to the public) interactions, and choosing not to publicize anything they are doing. The predators are quiet, invisible, under the radar. It is the prey that squawk and bring attention to themselves.

I have no input into what the editors of the WSJ do and what page they put a story on.

The rate they pay is probably very competitive--on par with Walmart.

I don't think mrpickles was showing off. Well, at least until drumdrum... you know... and that was well deserved ^
People will probably disagree with me, but I think mrpickles' posts probably encouraged/helped more people into the coin program or led to more/larger orders being placed with the mint. I see both of those as good things
I for one thank mrpickles for his posting.
