They are advertising additional products that are available from the US Mint.

On my most recent order, which I just opened, there weren't any ads. Maybe a sign of things to come?

Yeah, looks like it. I searched on "San Francisco Mint" and got a link to the US Mint page about the SF Mint, it says it doesn't produce circulating coins, but is where all the proofs are produced.

Dang, I just put $7500 through the coin counter at lunch and they were all presidential. I would have checked if I had known!

Do come on, cupcake. (j/k)

To encourage robust national circulation of $1 Coins (non-numismatic, circulation-grade coins), the United States Mint has introduced the Circulating $1 Coin Direct Ship Program. This program makes it easy for retailers, financial institutions, and other interested parties to obtain smaller quantities of $1 coins than can otherwise be obtained from the Federal Reserve.

It is our own "fault" that the Mint is sending us 2 or 3 postcards, but I am reminded to buy some coin sets as birthday and Christmas gifts.

fyi:

i had placed a $5,000 order on my citi AAdvantage MC in late Sept. This was delayed once and said it would arrive in Oct... I thought the 16th. I was not concerned as the charge was to earn miles for the bonus on a new citi credit card that would generate its sign on mileage bonus for me once I charged over a certain amount.

Anyway, the UPS truck arrived today and the guy had me sign for two 1 foot large heavy boxes of all the coins. I happened to be outside this AM when they showed up so I drove them directly to my bank where it took 20 mins for the teller to sort them all and deposit to my BofA account. I had to open the big and all little boxes for her but did not need to take any coins out of there.

Success in the end.

Haha. I have just been sitting back and watching all of the bickering.

Took some pictures of my largest order received today and will be posting soon with step by step photos of how to process the packaging and consolidate prior to deposits. No financial problems here. In fact just opened a high credit line cash back card.

I will see some of you this Sunday at the United Airlines event at SFO. Say hi if you are a fan, stay away if you are jealous.
