Talking Bringing Pres coins to the bank

I was wondering if anyone has ever had trouble bringing in rolls of the $1 president coins to a bank to deposit etc... I am just wondering if the bank will give me a hard time bringing in $500 in rolled coins etc...

ive done it about 4-5 times...only one branch gave me any trouble at all, and it was just some comments and making me write my acct # on the rolls (illegibly, however because i was writing it so quickly)

My $750 order of Feb 20th was finally delivered today.

Actually, UPS have been trying to deliver for 2 days.
I was away for the week when the I received ship e-mail.
UPS did want a signature, thus kept trying to deliver.

Previous orders were dropped on my doorstep without signature,
so I envisioned all that coin sitting there for 48 hours !

I could have called and set up something with UPS.
But I was too lazy. And probably not at ultimate risk.

Fulfilled the spend requirement for new Alaska credit card.
Almost free ($65 card fee) trip to Kodiak Island this July.

Isn't that an issue... that if on a trip and its not delivered, one may not be able to collect the product prior to being sent back...

Also, let us know when you're in ANC We have a small but eager FT crowd ^

I've done it 4 times. No problem at all. One time I was hit with a remark that if the rolls are broken they won't be accepted. Mine weren't, so I was good to go.

I deposit at Chase and have never had a problem. Each visit I deposit $125 and I go to various Chase branches so no one branch in my area is stuck with too many coins at once.

Thanks for the speedy responses! I am planning to order some coins to fulfill some of my wife's CC spending minimums!

Thanks again!

$125 a pop?!? Either you aren't ordering enough coins or you are going to the bank a lot!

Anyone else getting, "We are unable to answer your call at this time. Please try again later" when they call for the past couple of days?

....although there were periods a while back
when I got that phone message for 4 days straight.

Dropped my $750 in coin off at Chase branch today,
(where my new checking account is netting me 21,000 CO).

Absolutely no problem,
teller just took a quick peek in each box,
noticed each box was a different president,
and gave me the receipt.

That was too easy,
except the big unknown of the shipping time.

Not sure the anxiety is worth another 1000 SPG points.
On second thought.....sure it is.

I just got back from my local M&T branch, they had no problem accepting $5,000 in $1 coins. They asked if I would be doing it again, since it is somewhat of a PITA for them to deal with.

That said I have been banking with M&T for ten years and at 22 probably have at least another 60 years of banking so I doubt they would want to create any trouble.
