After $150k over two years, $1k went missing in March.

UPS say it was delivered. It was never signed for by my doorman... or maybe it was. Who knows?

Maybe it was labelled by my doorman incorrectly and went to someone elses apt who are only too happy to have an extra $1k land in their lap.

EIther way, I'm $1k short... I filed a police report. Nothing they could do.

Now I've disputed it on my credit card.

The money is back whilst the CC carry out their own investigation.

Meanwhile, the Mint have now sent me a "payment request" for asking for the money!

Errr... I don't think so!

My final option is to sue the buiding as it is in effect UPS's word against the building.
The coins needed to be signed for. If your doorman did sign for them, UPS will have a record.

I'm assuming that, like most buildings, your doorman would leave a slip in your box and have you sign for the package? Hopefully, they will still have a record of who signed for that particular package.

But from the info you provided, it doesn't sound like you have much of a case against the mint. It sounds like something went wrong at your building.

Please keep us in the loop as to the outcome.

I have a dispute open with the Mint too... A charge posted to my credit card when the order was On Hold and wasn't going to be shipped.

I placed an order on May 16 that finally shipped on May 28. I had placed another order on June 2 thinking that it was well more than 10 days since the previous order was placed. The Mint CSR I talked to said that my June 2 order was flagged because it was less than 10 days from the prior shipping date. She said that she had no record of my CC being charged, but my statement shows it hitting the card on 6/8 and posting on 6/9. I opened a dispute with the CC company and faxed the Mint's Claims Dept with the CC statement, order receipt, and let them know they will hear from the CC company....

Hopefully the people on that site are ALREADY aware of this program. What I really hate it is when it hit sources like the WSJ and USA today. WIth people make this program known, it means a bigger dealy in getting coins, and getitng the program killed much faster.

Lifehacker - CLUELESS

Lifehacker says "So, considering the average frequent flyer mileage runs at about two miles for every dollar spent, you could get a quick 100 miles added to your account by just ordering two $25 rolls of actual money. Buy $500 worth and you've nearly got a full flight across the country."
Huh? I wish you could do that.

Between people trying to order 2 rolls and those trying to book a flight with 1,000 miles, it could be kind of comical

Yes I am a newbie on this thread and yes I expect lots of grief but I promise to get an answer to just this one question and then I'll be quiet for good ('cause I'll be busy placing orders).

So if you feel it in your heart, please "Helpa brother!
Read the sticky and it will answer your question.

Anyone else experiencing large hold times

Three orders from Sunday, all on hold and my am ex hasn't been authorized for any.

I have one property tax bill on a rental due 6/30. Hopefully I have these orders by then.

I shall provide the info you seek. Purchase freely my son,
I have done so thrice on the card of which you speak, and they go through as a normal purchase.

Happy Coining!
