You are missing the point, the other posters are just pointing out that this is neither a sustainable or scaleable form of MS. Way too much to go wrong. What you going to do, pay $5k on a $500 utility bill each month ?
There are easier ways of MS'ing

Does any form of MS still work?

The Office depot credit is currently on but I can't buy EVERYDAY cards not sold ink Seattle region.
Everyday cards can be bought in cities 45-50 miles away but that's not feasible.
Also not sure if Wal_mart still allows to be loaded for cashier's check.

Curious anyone in Seattle area successful doing any MS?

Answering your second question, just bought today $800 MO at WM with 4 SE cards.

As far as your first question, OM closed all the stores in my region so buying them requires an out of town trip to accomplish.

You have OMs and no cards, I have cards and no OMs. Life is cruel for both of us :( :D

Need little help here:
1. MO - money order what is OM? what is SE?
2. What city are you buying in?
Agree, MS works outside of Seattle(reported by a few in Tenn one other area) and purchasing everyday gift can be done 60 miles from my city which makes MS hard for gift cards not sure what else works

OM: Officce Max, the other part of OD/OM
SE: Style Everywhere, one of the Everywhere cards sold at OM/OD
I am in the great flyover country, you know, that sliver of territory between the great expanses of the East and West coasts. :D

I am quite surprised that your utility company allows you to pay more than what you owe. Mine is similar to a credit card where you cannot pay more than the balance on the account.

I regularly overpay electric and water, as I’m out of the country a lot. I think they limit it to a $1000 or so overpayment. Never asked for a refund.

Nice. My utility company's answer to that is to setup autopay with a saved debit/credit card or bank account. They do not like negative balances.
