Samsung Pay

How do you use samsung pay effectively for mobile payments? Or google pay. Specifically, I am looking at using Home Chef and other meal delivery services and getting credit for money spent each work. Do i need to cancel each week after the order is made?

On an unrelated note, is it possible to load the Samsung Pay Cash or the Samsung Money by SoFi accounts at any physical location?

Quick question.....did Walmart somehow shut down Samsung Pay? I tried using it yesterday to get 3x at walmart as I have for years, and it would not process. Never had happened before and on multiple terminals.

According to Reddit, this is a national issue. The theory is they are trying to coax people into using Walmart Pay.

It should still work in Walmart, as Samsung pay is the same as physical swipe. You just need to place your phone at the right place.

As mia noted in the Altitude Reserve thread (https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/32726533-post1562.html) regarding this same question, WM's newer terminals are trying to detect whether a physical card was swiped or the signal was emulated so they can throw out the emulated swipes.

I was just trying to buy VGC at WM and was paying with SP, got the message - Payment Type not allowed. Cashier also said that it's cash or debit, but it was working before
Edit: Tried walmart pay -> Chase pay route, still no go. Cashier said walmart pay can't be used for GCs.

The ability for a terminal to be programmed to reject SP has been around for awhile, but was rare to actually be implemented. I think HD also does the active blocking.

I don't know why WM has started doing this as SP used to even promote working at that chain, but so it goes.
