Signing up to buy $1000 visa/mc gift cards
You can buy the $1000 cards on Simon's volume site. Their regular site only sells $500 cards.
If you're new, or haven't bought anything in a year, you need to register at https://www.simon.com/volume/register-consumer
As part of the registration process, you will have to go to a brick and mortar mall and buy at least $3000 in cards in person, as well as filling out some paperwork while there. After that, you can do everything online.
As of Nov 2020, Simon Mall Gift cards will only work for $99/swipe for money services at Walmart and many grocery chains.
$1000 gift cards are available indefinitely.

Hi, as speaking for the order limit, do you all have 25k order limit? I tried to order 12k, but I was getting error message saying that I had a limit of 10k.

I think you have to ask for the increased order limit to 25K especially if you are a new member or you may have to do 1 or 2 orders to establish some history. I would suggest talking with Simon customer service team.

Freeground worked for me this morning to order 20K. I asked my rep about it and they were trying to fix it.

I had a Simon card replaced due to fraud. The new card doesn't work to buy MO at grocery stores or Walmart. Called and activated and made sure pin was correct.

very disturbing. can you give us more info of what happened? have you tried normal purchases? does that work? if you need the funds ASAP, i would just eat the fee and buy a VGC with the VGC. or you can buy a merchant GC with no fees.

Replacement card they sent was a red 5% back card. Tried five different stores and probably 15 different pin combinations in case I set it wrong. I paid taxes with it and that worked.

I have had a $500 replaced with a red 5% back card and was able to use it to pay for MO at wally word. This was last year though so it may have changed.

hmm. interesting. so they sent you one card with $1k on it? or was it 500? glad it worked for taxes, but i wonder if the card is purposely more restrictive to prevent fraud. also a little odd its the red 5% card.
