Signing up to buy $1000 visa/mc gift cards
You can buy the $1000 cards on Simon's volume site. Their regular site only sells $500 cards.
If you're new, or haven't bought anything in a year, you need to register at https://www.simon.com/volume/register-consumer
As part of the registration process, you will have to go to a brick and mortar mall and buy at least $3000 in cards in person, as well as filling out some paperwork while there. After that, you can do everything online.

As of Nov 2020, Simon Mall Gift cards will only work for $99/swipe for money services at Walmart and many grocery chains.

$1000 gift cards are available indefinitely.

I had read somewhere that it was once your total hits 10k including fees, then they need SSN. Someone said they did 9 x $1,000 and one more for $950 and then they didn't have to give SSN. But I might be wrong, so someone here can confirm what I'm stating.

Thats what I assumed, but wanted to be sure. My next load wont be at my reg place and they have to call up and get permission, from their mgr for large purchases. I was afraid if I asked for $10k and then was told they need my # and then said OK make it $9k or $9K+ that they would end up refusing to sell me any amount w/o my giving my #

Im trying to top off for a hotel award and thought I would be short if I did my reg $9K purchase. Called up the program and was offered 500 pts to speak to a TS rep, so now I think my reg load will suffice but wont know till the 500 pts are posted

I bought 9x1k and 1x950 other day, and when cashier asked me my SSN, I point out that the form said only needed when exceed 10k, she said oh and move on with my order without any questions.

  • Citizens is known to often give very low CLs (I did see a report today of someone getting a CL near $20K, but a lot more reports of $500 CLs)
several year ago, I got a citizens card with only 500 CL while I have several 25 CL cards from other card issuers.

Just left my go to Simon and the CSR confirmed that the 1k VGC promo for consumers will end on 12/31. If you have a corporate account you can still purchase the 1k VGCs.
