Signing up to buy $1000 visa/mc gift cards
You can buy the $1000 cards on Simon's volume site. Their regular site only sells $500 cards.
If you're new, or haven't bought anything in a year, you need to register at https://www.simon.com/volume/register-consumer
As part of the registration process, you will have to go to a brick and mortar mall and buy at least $3000 in cards in person, as well as filling out some paperwork while there. After that, you can do everything online.

As of Nov 2020, Simon Mall Gift cards will only work for $99/swipe for money services at Walmart and many grocery chains.

$1000 gift cards are available indefinitely.

Probably the WMT neighborhood didnt receive the system update yet? But most here are speculating that the issue is with meta making some change and not wm

Sorry can you clarify why the issue is on meta side and not WM side? If it was on meta side then all other locations would have the same issue, but other grocery stores are working fine. Unless meta is blocking WM only?

Meta may be blocking WM only.

Would a >400 purchase (not MO) at WM be able to test this theory?

Just want to confirm that I can verify I had a $500 payment rejected today on a MetaBank issued gift card bought at Hy-Vee and it went right through at $400. $400 does appear to be in the new magic number.

$400 is the magic number. 1k is still going thru at some Walmart. I assume that haven't receive the software update or just slipping thru the crack. Anything is over 400 is coming back as code 5 or 56. Shows "Alternative Payment Method Required" on the reader.

Question: I know in-store Simon has not been earning anything for Amex for quite some time, but how about online? I order single $500 cards from Simon and GCM for AU spend whenever Amex send me an offer and I earn both the base points and the AU bonus. Does that mean its safe to bill order from Simon online? Say for the current Amex spend $6500 three times offer?

I got them to work at a 60% clip for 1K swipes at a Neighborhood Market in TX.

I have both regular and neighborhood walmarts near me. I am also wondering if this is coded limit for money center or cashier's and customer service also. Does this affect blue bird loads also?

I was able to get $1K in MOs (2x$499+fees) in one swipe at two different grocery chains today in Rhode Island. Going to try another chain in Massachuestts tomorrow. Haven't tried WM yet as it seems we have a good amount of DPs confirming the limits.

Forgive me for being a rookie. Had anyone ever had luck redeeming SGC $1000 @USPS locations? Is that even an option?

I called Simon customer service today and reported that I was having trouble using my VGCs to make purchases at Walmart. He said they are very much aware of the issue and looking into ways to resolve it. He said they're aware its an issue at WM and at some grocery stores. He advised to try swiping multipe times as it seems to be a "random" thing where it will go through eventually after enough tries.

Anyways, I thought that was hopeful that at least Simon is trying to get it fixed - may not be a lost cause forever.
