How can I MS $15,000 in 1 week to get 50K Amex points
Hi there, I know this last minute, but I need advice on how to MS $15,000 in by October 9th... I signed up for Amex business Platinum 100,000 point offer for spending $25,000 in 3 months. I am planning surgery that cost $18,000 and I assumed I could use my Amex to pay.... I just found out that my surgery date is past the promotional period and I can only pay half on my Amex... I already received the 50,000 point bonus... I want the additional 50,000, but is it worth the stress? Should I PayPal the $15,000 to myself? Can I ask amex for more time to meet the spending requirement? Thanks in advance for your advice... |

pay property tax if it's allowed by your county. My annual property tax bill just comes in and it's $19000.:(

OP, at the end, you did ask if the stress is worth it: and I say no. You're already going through a challenging time. From the question alone, I gather you're not exactly "well practiced" in MS. So trying to do 15k in your first week is a terrible idea. Even using Venmo means around $450 in fees. Is that worth 50k MR?

Slightly off-topic.. Does AMEX clawback Venmo "purchases" for meeting MSR? I will use vanilla plat for about $1300/mo and my organic spend is about $1200 without including rent.
