$50 Profit + $1,400 in Spend with this PFS Coin Deal
Looks like a great way to get $1400 in spending and make $50 profit. The US Mint limits purchase of this limited coin to one per household. PFS buyers club is paying us $50 to purchase the coin and ship it to them. They will then reimburse via paypal or check once they receive the shipment. I have not used PFS buyers club before but googling shows they are a reputable company and have paid out many times in the past. From what I have read US Bank does not recognize US Mint as a legit purchase so I would stay away from any US Bank cards.

You failed to disclose that you will be receiving a referral fee from each use of the link you provided. Very tacky.

Apologies. Didn't realize that I was breaking any forum rules. I've been a long time reader of these forums as you can see and finally came across something I figured would be of interested to folks here. I see the redirection was already removed, however I was not trying to obscure anything. The URL clearly referenced a referral code.
I will explicitly state there is a referral for these sort of offers in the future.

Hey Philemer!
The deal was actually for more profit, Buyers Club just takes a cut and sends you the shipping plus absorbs some of the risk. The actual profit was $225 or so (see https://www.maximizingmoney.com/shop...nehurst-coins/ ) so they take $175 and you get $50. For me, too risky for $225 and too much effort for $50 plus some CC spend, but the deal sold out quickly as expected. Hungry MSers out there...

No one knows how many of the purchasers were MSers, versus speculators, versus collectors, versus investors, etc., etc.
I would suspect that MSers are a tiny percentage of the overall population of purchasers. Even without the MSers, the new coin would have still sold out very quickly. Just a guess.

Done this deal last year, got a 1099 from Paypal today for the $1500 payment from PFS. Was not expecting this and now got to figure out how to deal with in my tax return
Anyone else get a 1099 for this deal?
