GofC shows the GCs are available at local Target stores. Anyone seen them?

Yes, but there are only $50 and $100 for a $5.95 fee. No Redcard discount and doubt you can pay with target GCs.

I've bought at a few different Fred's in the southeast on road trips. The ones I went to were more rural and lower income areas so it was somewhat out of the ordinary to be buying multiple $500 cards at a time. The cashiers called over a manager to turn a key and check my id/CCs.

On my last trips to SC, I went to one Fred's that was closing in a month, so they weren't as concerned about selling my wife and I $3000+. Another sold me 3 $500 one at a time with a limit of 3 per day. After I bought the first one, the store phone rang and someone from corporate or security called to ensure that they had checked id and it wasn't fraud.

It isn't as easy as buying $9500 at Simon, but definitely doable and I plan to go back again next month in SC.

Any interest?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but would anyone be interested in exchanging GoC cards for VGC?
I don't have anywhere to buy them by me for the cheap fee.

Better question might be - Does anyone know another way to get VGC to GoC, other than liquidating using MO/serve/etc.?

Yes there are many, just have to look on the GOC website. Problem is most only sell in the low denominations which probably makes the fee negate any points earned.

Only if they realize how much more business they can get if they dropped the fee slightly and increase the denomination to up to $500 and college is a huge expense. The fact that GoC cards are only in denominations of $50 and $100 at Target at $5.95 fee is ridiculous. At least adjust the fee based on the denomination level.

I will try to look into this in the next day or so. I've been meaning to go by Cumberland Farms since someone told me last week they sell money orders and have allowed people to buy them with debit cards.

It wasn't told to me in secret. The MO machine was down at a WM near me and the CSR mentioned you can get them at the CF a block away if needed.
