This is the thread for 2018. The previous discussion can be found here.

Updated Nov-2018: A lot of the personal Visa CCs can't be used at Plastiq. Some will be treated as cash advance and won't receive any rewards. Only Capital One personal Visa CCs are not affected. Business Visa CCs are still good. The best CCs are Mastercard and Discover. AmEx CCs can still be used, but not on many of the payment types. Chase personal Visa cards are limited to the cash advance limit (typically 20% of CL). The details are listed as below:
https://help.plastiq.com/hc/en-us/ar...l-Card-Changes

Plastiq Fees:
The standard Plastiq fee is 2.5%. It makes most of the reward programs not profitable. Use Plastiq to meet welcome bonus spending requirement or to meet certain spend requirements to reach elite status or for large spend bonus. Also take advantage of Plastiq referrals and promotions.

Sometimes, special bonuses are available, check here or your email for these (example: This month only, submit up to three payments ($10,000 or less each) and benefit from a 1.5% Plastiq fee)

Plastiq Referrals:
Standard Referral: When you refer your friend to Plastiq, after your friend charges $500 or more, your friend will get $500 FFDs (fee free dollar) and you'll receive $1,000 FFDs to spend.

I just tested a few MCGC to pay and they have 1% fee. This is my 2nd Plastiq account and I can just leave those cards there until this is paid in a few days. Just some extra works. But not too hard.

My DP: MCGC Issued by Meta has 1%, Purchased from Stop&Shop/Giant. This is great because of the promo's and they advertise purchasing MCGC/VGC with Credit Cards.

Good for Chase Freedom Q2 5% / Amex Gold 4%.

How do you get your money back to your own account? You pay your friends?

Doctor of Credit reports a 1.5% fee promotion with MC. It's not showing on mine. Any more details?

Mine is showing 1.5%, but, when I click on the fee, it isn't showing as a promotional discount like the example on DOC.

Got this email from Plastiq:

Thank you for choosing Plastiq. I hope that you value the convenience, the rewards and the increased cash flow that Plastiq provides.

I’d like to invite you to a special rebate offer for valued Visa customers.

If you spend $100,000 for 6 months in a row on your Visa Purchasing card, we will rebate you a portion of the Plastiq fee that effectively lowers it to 2.25% - or a savings of $1,500.

If you respond by Monday, May 20th, I can rebate you an extra $250 for your first month’s payment.

As you may know, thousands of businesses use Plastiq to pay upwards of $1M to key vendors, international suppliers, and contractors.

To get started with your next payment, please reply back to this email at your earliest convenience.

Got this offer today, which is weird since I use a Mastercard for Plastiq every month:

We noticed that you haven’t used a Mastercard recently to make your payments, so we’d like to make you a special offer.

Schedule three payments in a row with a Mastercard (up to $2,000 each) and benefit from a low 1.0% Plastiq fee - up to a $90 value.

Many Plastiq customers enjoy the convenience of using their Mastercard to pay for a wide variety of bills - from rent and car payments to utilities and business expenses.

Please submit your scheduled payments by May 31, 2019 to qualify.
