Summary of Supported Payments by Card Brand
https://support.plastiq.com/s/article/supported-payments-by-card-brand

Official word from Plastiq regarding Visa Business cards that was asked which was previously thought it applied to only Visa Personal cards
Plastiq is unable to support mortgage payments on any Visa credit cards. This is an industry-wide mandate that affects all third-party bill payment services. Please note that mortgage payments are also unsupported for credit cards issued by U.S. Bank or Capital One and AMEX.

Plastiq Fees:
Standard Plastiq card payment processing fee is 2.9%. This puts most of the credit cards out of the reward range. Plastiq turns itself into a niche position to earn new card bonus or status threshold. Some CCs may still work.
It makes most of the reward programs not profitable. Use Plastiq to meet welcome bonus spending requirement or to meet certain spend requirements to reach elite status or for large spend bonus. Also take advantage of Plastiq referrals and promotions.

Delivery Fees (The Plastiq Ch. 11 restructure now added some delivery fees):
ACH/EFT/Electronic $0.99
Paper Check $1.49
Wire Transfer: Domestic/International $8.99/$39

This is the thread for 2018 and forward. The previous discussion can be found here.
Updated Nov-2018: A lot of the personal Visa CCs can't be used at Plastiq. Some will be treated as cash advance and won't receive any rewards. Only Capital One personal Visa CCs are not affected. Business Visa CCs are still good. The best CCs are Mastercard and Discover. AmEx CCs can still be used, but not on many of the payment types. Chase personal Visa cards are limited to the cash advance limit (typically 20% of CL). The details are listed as below:

Plastiq Referrals:
Standard Referral: When you refer your friend to Plastiq, after your friend charges $500 or more, your friend will get $500 ($0?) FFDs (fee free dollar) and you'll receive $1,000 ($100) FFDs to spend.

All personal prepaid Gift Cards (GCs) are disallowed. Not sure what "business" gift card can be used.

Trying a $250 Plastiq payment today with new MC that I just added to Masterpass but Plastiq wants to charge me 2.5%. This is a card that was just replaced due to fraud (the previous card worked fine). Glitch or maybe there's a delay between adding a CC to Masterpass and having it be recognized as eligible for free payments? Don't really want to ask Plastiq/put eyes on my multiple payments.

When I set up a weekly $250 payments to my mortgage using Masterpass when the promotion launched I recall the first $500 included the 2.5% fee and then there was no fee on the first $250 of future payments with that card using Masterpass. Your new card probably will have to meet that "first $500 at 2.5%" term before the no fee for first $250 kicks in.

Interesting. In May, my 1st four $500 payments were free, and subsequent $250's were free as well. In fact, my other MC attached to MP is still showing as free today. I have min spend on the newer CC though, so I'd like to get that one going for free as well. Odd

EDIT- dolt added the CC via add a cad, not MP. Sorry, works fine now.
FYI, you can actually pay a few cents more than $250, helps me sort out how many I've done already (250.01, 250.02, 250.03, etc)

Citi Pay Masterpass wasn't working for me last night (gave stupid errors like saying only mastercard is supported, when the DoubleCash I was trying to add was mastercard), but today it worked.

I went the other way 249.99, 249.98 and so on to have each payment amount be unique.

Anyone knows how long it takes for checks to arrive at their destination? I made a payment on 8/17 (Friday). I got an email same day late evening that check is "mailed" - yeah right lol. Assuming the check processing actually started on Monday (8/20) and postmarked on 8/21, it should have arrived by today. However nothing so far. That was kind of a time sensitive payment and I thought 10 days is more than enough margin. Still the recipient is nice and willing to wait an additional week. Any past experiences with this? Thanks.

Thanks. I got the “your check was mailed” email on the day of payment, now almost 2 weeks ago. Does it really take them that long to actually cut the check and mail it out?
