Summary of Supported Payments by Card Brand
https://support.plastiq.com/s/article/supported-payments-by-card-brand

Official word from Plastiq regarding Visa Business cards that was asked which was previously thought it applied to only Visa Personal cards
Plastiq is unable to support mortgage payments on any Visa credit cards. This is an industry-wide mandate that affects all third-party bill payment services. Please note that mortgage payments are also unsupported for credit cards issued by U.S. Bank or Capital One and AMEX.

Plastiq Fees:
Standard Plastiq card payment processing fee is 2.9%. This puts most of the credit cards out of the reward range. Plastiq turns itself into a niche position to earn new card bonus or status threshold. Some CCs may still work.
It makes most of the reward programs not profitable. Use Plastiq to meet welcome bonus spending requirement or to meet certain spend requirements to reach elite status or for large spend bonus. Also take advantage of Plastiq referrals and promotions.

Delivery Fees (The Plastiq Ch. 11 restructure now added some delivery fees):
ACH/EFT/Electronic $0.99
Paper Check $1.49
Wire Transfer: Domestic/International $8.99/$39

This is the thread for 2018 and forward. The previous discussion can be found here.
Updated Nov-2018: A lot of the personal Visa CCs can't be used at Plastiq. Some will be treated as cash advance and won't receive any rewards. Only Capital One personal Visa CCs are not affected. Business Visa CCs are still good. The best CCs are Mastercard and Discover. AmEx CCs can still be used, but not on many of the payment types. Chase personal Visa cards are limited to the cash advance limit (typically 20% of CL). The details are listed as below:

Plastiq Referrals:
Standard Referral: When you refer your friend to Plastiq, after your friend charges $500 or more, your friend will get $500 ($0?) FFDs (fee free dollar) and you'll receive $1,000 ($100) FFDs to spend.

All personal prepaid Gift Cards (GCs) are disallowed. Not sure what "business" gift card can be used.

Successful Credit Cards Used (Posted as Purchase, Visa info outdated)
Note that Plastiq no longer accepts American Express for any transactions as of 2/10/23.

I just tried to pay $250 to my mortgage and the 2.5% was not waived. It was waived yesterday when I made a similar payment with the same card.

It's because payment needs to be deliverd by 9/30, not sent.

I now have 3 payments with 2.5% fees. All are set to be delivered by 9/29 or earlier. All had no problems for me the past few weeks. He interesting thing is that the app shows $0 fee in the screen right before submission; it’s only until after submission does the fee show up.

This is not true. I had payments scheduled for 10/8 delivery and they have $0 fee with my Masterpass card.

I looked at it again. It is the 9/30 cut off date for the processing. For the above payment to be delivered, the credit card processing date is 9/30. It takes about a week to deliver.

I believe this is covered by the Point Guy....

The T&C's have always stated deliveries as of 9/30, but it wasn't effective before as I also have many prior scheduled deliveries past 9/30 (all scheduled back in August). However, IT IS holding true at the moment so they must've fixed it recently.

Are you saying you can still, at the moment, schedule deliveries past 9/30?

Yes, but you must have the Plastiq cut the check on or before 9/30. If you want check delivered on 10/10 and it takes only 5 days to send the check, then it won't go.

Yes I think everyone understands that and as I said above, I have many previously scheduled to process by 9/30 for delivery dates after that with 0% (did this back in August), but it's no longer working anymore at the moment. Unless you're saying you still get 0% fee Right Now if you process a new payment by 9/30?

Have they responded saying that it must be delivered by 9/30, as it never said this before. Had a bunch I was waiting on.

They are not good at responding. They may have changed the practice to cut off all payments past 9/30.

I successfully scheduled fee free electronic payments for 10/2 delivery yesterday. As recently as 4 days ago, it was charging the fee when I scheduled it. So keep trying if you have electronic payments you still want to make. The fees seem to disappear sometimes

It has ALWAYS said delivery by 9/30. Below is directly from the promotional email back in May...

*To qualify for promotion, payment must be submitted or scheduled on or after May 15, 2018, and payment's delivery date must be before or on September 30, 2018.

Not really. This is discussed before and mentioned at some other sites too. See below:

As long as Plastiq processes the payment on or before 9/30, all is (or was) cool. As I said, this may have changed recently when Plastiq tightens up the "rules". Some people clearly missed this since they do not read...

And as I said I've gotten many scheduled past 9/30 fee free like what you've shown above, but set them up all before September. Doesn't change the fact they've always had the verbiage in writing.. so Yes really.
