Visa Card Policy

American Express Card Policy

Summary of Supported Payments by Card Brand
https://support.plastiq.com/s/article/supported-payments-by-card-brand

Official word from Plastiq regarding Visa Business cards that was asked which was previously thought it applied to only Visa Personal cards
Plastiq is unable to support mortgage payments on any Visa credit cards. This is an industry-wide mandate that affects all third-party bill payment services. Please note that mortgage payments are also unsupported for credit cards issued by U.S. Bank or Capital One and AMEX.

Plastiq Fees:
Standard Plastiq card payment processing fee is 2.9%. This puts most of the credit cards out of the reward range. Plastiq turns itself into a niche position to earn new card bonus or status threshold. Some CCs may still work.
It makes most of the reward programs not profitable. Use Plastiq to meet welcome bonus spending requirement or to meet certain spend requirements to reach elite status or for large spend bonus. Also take advantage of Plastiq referrals and promotions.

Delivery Fees (The Plastiq Ch. 11 restructure now added some delivery fees):
ACH/EFT/Electronic $0.99
Paper Check $1.49
Wire Transfer: Domestic/International $8.99/$39

This is the thread for 2018 and forward. The previous discussion can be found here.
Updated Nov-2018: A lot of the personal Visa CCs can't be used at Plastiq. Some will be treated as cash advance and won't receive any rewards. Only Capital One personal Visa CCs are not affected. Business Visa CCs are still good. The best CCs are Mastercard and Discover. AmEx CCs can still be used, but not on many of the payment types. Chase personal Visa cards are limited to the cash advance limit (typically 20% of CL). The details are listed as below:

Plastiq Referrals:
Standard Referral: When you refer your friend to Plastiq, after your friend charges $500 or more, your friend will get $500 ($0?) FFDs (fee free dollar) and you'll receive $1,000 ($100) FFDs to spend.

All personal prepaid Gift Cards (GCs) are disallowed. Not sure what "business" gift card can be used.

Cip earning 3x points on plastiq seems to be dead. Reported by several blogs, including doctor of credit and miles to memories.

I'm surprised this issue hasn't been reported here more.. it's been over 6 weeks since I've been able to activate a new card on Citi Pay..

Yeah I've been trying to add my Citi AAdvantage card and it keeps getting an error. I called Citipay and they said that the AAdvantage isn't eligible to add to Citipay. I was able to add my BofA Premier Rewards card though to Masterpass.

Does anyone have first-hand confirmation that CIP no longer earns 3X on Plastiq? Or, has been told so by a Chase rep?

This is incorrect. My AA card is available in Citipay, along with my Prestige.

unfortunately yes. After seeing the news break that cip 3xur was dead I made a $10.00 test payment to my car loan I had been making for months (well I stopped to take advantage of masterpass for a few months). I had gotten 3x ur points multiple times to this payee. My payment was submitted 8/17, posted 8/19. Pending points on chase site show only 1x ur.

DId it change because the merchant category that the Plastiq payments report as changed, or is the merchant category the same as before? Ie, is the change because of how Plastiq encodes itself to Visa, or is the change because Chase is specifically doing something different when "Plastiq" is the merchant?

Without knowing what the merchant category that Plastiq payments report are now vs back when it was 3x, it's hard to know for sure why exactly the 3x stopped working.

But I've had trouble figuring out how to display the actual merchant category on Chase's website. It just shows the earning category, not the merchant category, as far as i can see.

Yea this is a new card. When I login with my citi login, it says that the cards in that account are in ineligible. I called masterpass and they confirmed. Maybe I'm unlucky!

Does it matter if its a business card?

When did you activate your AA? My AA, ATT, Prestige all previously activated (6+ weeks ago) are still working as well. The problem is with someone else's account trying to activate a newly opened AA.

To clarify, I can see all my cards when logged in. It just won't let me activate a new card (that is displayed).

I've had my AA card for several years.

I meant when did you activate it on CitiPay, which is what the issue is at hand. All cards require an "activation/add" even if they're already shown on CitiPay.

I don't remember, so I imagine it's been a while (as in, a year or longer).
