Summary of Supported Payments by Card Brand
https://support.plastiq.com/s/article/supported-payments-by-card-brand

Official word from Plastiq regarding Visa Business cards that was asked which was previously thought it applied to only Visa Personal cards
Plastiq is unable to support mortgage payments on any Visa credit cards. This is an industry-wide mandate that affects all third-party bill payment services. Please note that mortgage payments are also unsupported for credit cards issued by U.S. Bank or Capital One and AMEX.

Plastiq Fees:
Standard Plastiq card payment processing fee is 2.9%. This puts most of the credit cards out of the reward range. Plastiq turns itself into a niche position to earn new card bonus or status threshold. Some CCs may still work.
It makes most of the reward programs not profitable. Use Plastiq to meet welcome bonus spending requirement or to meet certain spend requirements to reach elite status or for large spend bonus. Also take advantage of Plastiq referrals and promotions.

Delivery Fees (The Plastiq Ch. 11 restructure now added some delivery fees):
ACH/EFT/Electronic $0.99
Paper Check $1.49
Wire Transfer: Domestic/International $8.99/$39

This is the thread for 2018 and forward. The previous discussion can be found here.
Updated Nov-2018: A lot of the personal Visa CCs can't be used at Plastiq. Some will be treated as cash advance and won't receive any rewards. Only Capital One personal Visa CCs are not affected. Business Visa CCs are still good. The best CCs are Mastercard and Discover. AmEx CCs can still be used, but not on many of the payment types. Chase personal Visa cards are limited to the cash advance limit (typically 20% of CL). The details are listed as below:

Plastiq Referrals:
Standard Referral: When you refer your friend to Plastiq, after your friend charges $500 or more, your friend will get $500 ($0?) FFDs (fee free dollar) and you'll receive $1,000 ($100) FFDs to spend.

All personal prepaid Gift Cards (GCs) are disallowed. Not sure what "business" gift card can be used.

Has anyone gotten an email from Plastiq about being one of their "top members"?

I was contacted by an agent there, saying: "I deal with Plastiq's top members to ensure that their experience is nothing short of sensational" and asking to set up a meeting.

Seems to be targeted toward small businesses. I do spend quite a bit on Plastiq (50k/year?) but I'm not sure what they could offer.

I think they just want to give you options for using them in additional situations. Specifically, they keep trying to get me to use it to pay employees. But that seems way too complicated.

@sbalasu3
Can you please share information on how to fund the BMO Harris account? I have a BMO Harris checking account. Can't find the link to do the funding with AMEX.

Yea, I just got the same email. I paid 30k in property taxes with Plastiq this month and got another 20k to go once my CIP gets paid down. Haven't called back, and wasn't really planning on it. Anything worthwhile?

It's worthless calling them. Now they flag every single Amex use and with Citi ATT Access 3X most likely dead, not sure how long they last.

I had a vendor payment issue with plastiq and having their private client manager was useful in getting an expedited customer service response.

You can no longer do this. AMEX killed it.

I emailed them back asking for money towards my next expense.

They asked me what my largest monthly expense is and I said rent ($1800/month). They said if I pay it by card (which I already do with Paypal) with them, they'll give me $200. I asked for $300 and they agreed. FWIW

Interesting, thanks!

To the user asking what I spend on - I was paying rent on Plastiq, as I value SPG points above the fee.

AMEX limited use of their cards on Plastiq to a handful (eight, IIRC) of categories. Plastiq complies with the limitations of the card issuers.

i was more on curious on why. I understand mortgage, ur paying off a loan, same with autoloan, but for contractor, your paying off a job. its like, you could technique pay them off with a credit card if they accept it right? so why does amex limit it with plastiq.
