US reloadable prepaid cards for international tourists
 

What reloadable USD prepaid cards can you suggest for someone not from the US who don't have an SSN? Seems that every reloadable prepaid card application does need to have an SSN in order to reload the card in the first place.

I don't know of any reloadable prepaid card that that you can load funds unlimited number of times without registration and input of SSN.

If your purpose is just to have a card to use for purchases while you're visiting the USA, just buy one of those variable Visa/Mastercard giftcards at drugstores and/or grocery stores that can be loaded up to $500. You can register these cards for online purchases without the card issuer asking for SSN. Just remember these cards are NOT for international use, they won't work outside of the US. Treat them like cash because if you lose them and don't know the card number, exp date and CVV code at the signature panel, it's gone. To protect yourself, best to take a picture of front and back of card so you have all vital info in case it's lost or stolen and keep the receipt.

When my friends and relatives come to visit and they want to go on a shopping spree, they ask me to buy Visa GCs since they don't want to pay with cash. They pay me in USD and I get CC rewards for all GCs I purchase for them.
