Hi,

Is this Ink Plus or Preferred? Was the payee in their database or created manually?
TIA!

visa gift card?

Anyone had recent experience using visa gift card as a payment method? I am getting "Oops! There was a problem adding your card: Your card was not validated properly." when "add new card" with visa gift card. TIA!

The message I receive when trying to pay lender (nationstar mtg) is "we recommend using a different card for this payment ... Visa credit cards can not be used to pay this recipient" how do you work it around or the message does not show up at all? Thanks.

Pay $1 with a non visa card, and once the relationship is established, try again with the visa.

This doesn't sound a solution since the payee has been setup and paid for months.

Just got a promo in email-- prepay 3 or more mortgages and get rebate for 3 months so fees total only 1.5%. I'm going to call retention for my Citi Prestige soon, and if I get the $50/month for $1500/mo spend, I'll take advantage of this.

"Unfortunately, American Express cards cannot be used to pay this recipient. To submit your payment, we recommend using a MasterCard (check out our current promotion)."

Just received this message when trying to pay an established mortgage account that I have been paying for months with Amex

Attempted to pay my TD Bank mortgage with CIP VISA (after paying it with an AMEX for a while now, but wanted to see if CIP gives any extra points), but got the dreaded "can't pay with VISA, please try MC)" message....

Will try again next month after this month's payment via MC goes through.

Ran into the same issue today. I have a recurring payment set up thats working. I tried to change the date on one of the payments and got this error. It is also for a mortgage account.

Happened again to my second mortgage, again with a well established account
I wonder if the timing of this and the recent Pay with Mastercard promotion are linked? Maybe Mastercard is the only way to pay...for now

Does anybody know if Citi Prestige codes as Travel giving 3x for Mortgage payments as well as count towards $250 travel credit?

I don't know, but I've never heard of this. I would be very surprised. Citi's travel category is, in general, more restrictive than CSR, and CSR has stopped giving it as well.

Also, if the coding is determined by MC, we already know from ATT AM that Plastiq mortgage and property tax stuff generally codes as govt services (earns 3x) or utilities (earns 1x). Neither of those sound like travel.

new to this thread anyone here using plastiq after the minimum spend has been made? 2.5% seems steep for 3x UR using ink preferred. Any feedback would be appreciated.
