Hopefully AMEX doesn't make any changes.

I mean if you were not using this card for GCs and abusing the 3x category, this card it worthless. Not sure what type of future you see with this card, as many other cards offer a better return on everything this card does.

I continue to use this card for 3x online purchases, which is a mix of personal and reimbursable business expenses. Seems to work out pretty well if I charge more than $1k a month.

Isn't this card the best for online shopping?

Sure, you can use indirect ways to max online (via ink/staples GC) but with this card you enjoy price rewind and 24m extended warranty

Also to those who have received notices from Citi are these in your secure messages? I haven't seen anything yet though I just scheduled my first six payments with plastiq. I figure I can get two payments in and then either keep the next 4 at 1x or change to SPG or Amex EXP for 1.5x. Switching will undo the free first payment though

Yeah, the same future as Citi Forward, but considering that it's a cobranded card, then even more gloomier future.

Update.

Received automated "Please upload an invoice". So I did. Shortly after got a "Please provide more info like social media for the business, business page and other random crap".

I am paying a contractor that did work for me... not sure why this is so hard. Plastiq has now had money from my AMEX for 10+ days.

This card can be justified if you spend $10k a year on it in 3x categories.

Can you guys please stop repeating "this card" without ever naming it? I can't figure out which care you're talking about. ralphs replied to a post that was about Plastiq and Visa, but AFAIK none of the Citi TYP cards are Visa cards (except maybe some long-discontinued-but-grandfathered ones?). So "this card" in that context makes no sense to me (given that this is a thread about Plastiq and not about any specific card).

Thanks.

I was referring to the Citi AT&T Access More card. Admittedly, this discussion would probably be better had on that card's (heh) thread, so I'll refrain from continuing this derail.

So it appears that the gravy train on 3x UR points using CSR for rent on Plastiq has stopped. Does anyone have any DPs on whether Plastiq Rent/Mortgage codes as travel for Amex PRG?

PRG doesn't have a travel category.

Restaurants, Gas, Groceries... and airfare purchased from airlines.

The only bonus from AMEX will be the potential 20% or 50% bonus on MR earned with the ED or EDP after transaction thresholds are met, although that isn't tied to merchant category. Plastiq doesn't code as any category that will award bonus points for AMEX.

The new (capped at 50k) Blue for Business Plus earns 2 / $ up to the cap uncategorized.

Depending on how you value MRs that could be worth more than 0.025

My mortgage payment (sent via check to a large lender) just posted on my CSR and I didn't get 3x. I have it set as a recurring payment since the last promotion (make 6 recurring payments get fees waived for the first), but it looks like it doesn't make sense now.

Has someone already cancelled? Will Plastiq charge the waived fee of the first payment retroactively?

Plastiq says yes, unless something has changed.
