I have a 20K bonus points for 20K spend on an amex card(not a retention or initial bonus). Can someone please confirm if Simon vgc spend counts towards bonus like this one?

Was at a Simon this morning and I asked about the promo and they confirmed it. Rep will ring up the cards as usual (with $3.95/card fee) then use a promo code for $1 off each card at the end of the transaction before payment.

No.
Personal experience on similar previous promo. Purchase at the Mall did not earn extra. But ordered online earned extra until it also stopped.

T&Cs of the promo can be found on DoC article. Brick and Mortar only.

The fine print said it is only available at Simon Guest Service or at the Mall. The discount comes with a code and it is entered at the end of the transaction before you pay, if this works the same as in the past. Looks like it is the same mechanism per DPs.

I saw someone run 1K visa cards twice now. The CSR confirmed it as well. I think the heavy hitters just try to keep it quiet and say they get shut down so we all don't try for accounts. With more and more WMs going to one swipe, it would be great if they sold consumers the 1K cards.

It's not hard to prove your theory if you are so full of doubt.

You should try to get a corporate account so you can prove it one way or the other - whether you can continue with it or you get shut down after hitting it a few times. Very easy to find out - IF you indeed have a real business to convince Simon to open a corporate account for you.

Simon will NOT sell the consumer the high value card because the compliance requirement is very different between "personal use" and "business use" by the AML laws, that the merchants who sell cash equivalent instruments must adhere to.

I like to go in right when they open so when I purchase my 100 cards I can beat the rush.

Spending $100,300 in a morning can be such a hassle.

Shucks
