I think you mentioned the 25000 mile bonus when you hit $25,000. spend in your OP. You may be doing this, but it would be best for your wife to have a Mileage Plus card also and put $25,000 on each of them. Some responding to your thread have not addressed the bonus in their value calculations and 50,000 for $25,000 spend makes it sweet. Doing it twice even sweeter.

I too am interested in United Miles.
Is there a promo for the Club Card? Doesn't that have a $450 AF? |

There is no way that ringing up 8 vgcs separately and unloading them takes 15 minutes. You're just exaggerating. Even with 0 time in line. And if there is a line, your time can double or triple depending on the degenerates ahead of you.

I didnt read every single post here so sorry if someone already mentioned using the Chase Freedom Unlimited for 1.5 points per $ and pairing with the Ink card to have those UR points to be transferred to United Miles 1:1. This might be a cheaper option than paying the $450 AF with the United Club Card, but of course one would not get the United Club Membership or the other benefits of that card.

Interesting. What do you do with all that MOs? Do you spread it out across multiple checking accounts?

The "offset method" appears to simply be a strategy to MS using a cash back card, and then use the profits to MS for airline miles. As such, it is not a unique or novel technique.
Furthermore, since this thread has gone significantly off topic and doesn't appear to be generating any useful discussion, it's best to give it a rest. Discussion of MS on each type of card can continue in their respective threads. |
