Hopefully zero... Never deposit MO with banks where you have CCs... First rule of MS :p

10k (probably why they caught on) limit on each card

I don't deposit MOs at Citi, come on son.

I was using them as they are the easiest to get cashback from because it posts immediately at the cut of the statement. I have other avenues.

The most profitable needs to be hit hard now because it will change soon due to losses incurred on the merchant side, and the profitability will go way down.

Losing citi accounts isnt the end of the world. Yeah it sucks but its not like I dont have the ability to keep doing what im doing with other banks. You guys get so worried about that stuff its unbelievable. The 2% CB was icing on a very lucrative cake.

Meh - tell that to all the Zetas who used to have Citigroup's Banamex USA accounts to launder millions in Mexican drug money. Having a Citi account was the de facto gold standard for those in the press and fold business. Now that Citi risk closure is busy going after MS folk, maybe the drug money laundering folk have a free pass again.

So you were cycling 7+ times.

Not surprising to get shutdown doing that.

I was just notified my Capital One Spark Card was closed. According to them, it was because a review showed "past or prior use inconsistent with personal, household or business-related purposes."

I pretty much used this card for everything (it paid 2% cash back) and I don't believe I did any MS-related spend on this since the Treasury quarters days. Oh well. They at least were kind enough to give me my rewards in cash as part of the closing process. I also had an old Orange account that had been converted to Capital One 360, which they also closed. It had a trivial balance and had not been used for more than two years. I'm not sure if the two are related or not.

I had a 360 savings account with just over 80k and a 360 checking with 3k shut down. No indication why but I did deposit a few thousand in money orders over the summer, nothing since. I did use both for big ticket spending quite a bit. They just said my usage was not consistent with personal or business use. They also shut down a Sony card which I had not used once since Cap 1 took the account over from Chase, and probably a couple of years before that. No reason given for the credit card shutdown but it may be attached to an email I no longer use
