And so thins the herd....
Lucky for me my 30 days reset this morning. Got one last full value load on my two cards today. Will probably be my last. Had been getting bored with this hobby and with the closure of my Serve account, I don't have the interest in the other few avenues I have left. The return on time is not worth it for me. It was good while it lasted. Got a few good trips for me and the kids.
Good Luck to those who continue on.

Is/was the $1000 limit monthly and not per 30 days?

How much regular spend do you guys put on each of your Buxx cards regularly, if any?
With the anticipated influx of new accts as well as increased activity of existing accts, I wouldn't be surprised if Nationwide starts to scrutinize and crack down on some accts. I for once plan on doing more regular spend in trying to preempt being caught from such algorithms, should NW decide to put them in place for detecting 'non-regular' usage patterns.

I just started with Buxx, but none.
edit: thanks mnCO.
I set up some scheduled transactions to take place for $500 on all of mine, seems they still allow it, maybe I can get away with those.

Not sure what's so funny about it, unless you meant it sarcastically. It is easy to do small transactions on these MS vehicles at self checkout lanes when you buy groceries via split payments, I've done this regularly at least once a month, sometimes more if it facilitates other things, like using prepaid Amex to do Costco shopping & gas since I shop there anyhow. Also some online utilities, like car insurance, might let you do many small payments with diff cards in one day.
One Buxx competitor has for a while and routinely cracked down on accts that were heavily used for MS, and now Amex started to do the same. It would not be unheard of for Buxx banks (or other prepaid cards) to start doing the same. For once, the influx of new traffic might make someone at Nationwide look into the data or set some parameters to analyze it. These banks don't look out just for their own profits and losses, they also have to monitor for illegal activities in regards to the Feds and their requirements for financial transactions.

How many people were actually notified of the reload changes? I didn't get an email or anything. Are banks allowed to just post the changes on their website and "forget about it"?
And did they really intend to implement these changes for all their Buxx customers today?
There's history, of course, of other banks being a little slow to implement their Buxx changes.

I have 5 Buxx cards, most people have multiple cards, it is hard to do regular spending on so many cards. Also, we don't know why you would be shutdown, there is no definite reason which if you knew you would avoid it. At this point use it till you loose it.
