If added, do these disappear from the offers if not used?

I might hold off until a rebate becomes available.

it won't matter since rebate offer for buying $300 or more GC is available in-store only;

IME, once I add offers to my cards, they are locked there until they expire.

Highest value is $200 VCG with same fee as the $100 VGC ($6.95).

Possible to split payment between multiple CCs on staples.com? That'd save several $$ per card if it works

Loaded onto my AmEx cards yesterday using either website or Twitter.

Seems none of usual bloggers noticed this yet.

Obvious use is $200 card, split tender across 2 AmEx. Of course you are only getting 1x points/miles but the cash return is good.
According to the fine print it's online only.
Terms
Valid online only. Valid only on US website

I ordered the $300, already have received confirmation from Amex that I have met the terms of the promotion.

I foolishly added this via Twitter without checking my personalized AmEx offers first. After de-linking the one card which had offer added via Twitter, all 8 of my other cards had the offer show up and I was able to add it with the multiple browser trick.

Not multiple credit cards, but they do allow splitting between 1 prepaid card and 1 CC. So, I used it as a way to convert an amex gc to visa gc: $200 visa gc, paid with $100 amex gc + $106.95 amex cc.

I'm sure that will go over well with the customer service agents.
