buying VGC w CC
 

The store I used to purchase my Visa/MC gift cards from no longer takes CC for those purchases.

Anyone run into this problem? Work arounds? Because of this problem, my Serve now sits empty.

Ummm, try a different store?? I have a hard time believing that there was only one store in MSP that allowed vgc purchases with a cc.

You can always buy vgc's thru giftcardmall.com, but the out of pocket cost is more than just buying them at a store.

check for Simon Malls in your area, the VGCs you can buy there can be loaded to Serve. Or, as suggested by skitch23, try other stores.

In this hobby, exploring different stores/venues/possibilities is important if we want to stay in it. We may have to spend lots of times researching online, we just have to be patient and soon enough we find valuable leads we're looking for.

No, I have never had this problem.

Look for grocery stores that have their own gas station or an affiliation with a gas station. If you can score free gas while purchasing VGC, it's the best game around.

Try Walmart or Target. There are lots of Target at MSP. Some Targets sell $400 VGC for $6.95. Personally I won't purchase VGCs from Target since it is kind of expensive for me even with 3% grocery category bonus. I only load my Redbirds and AFTs at Target. However, it is a choice.

I wish I have 10 Serve cards to unload the VGCs I can get from Kroger/Walmart/Staples/Office Depot/Office Max/other small local groceries.
