Where to get MO with highest denomination?

This is not MS related question per se. But since folks here are prolly most knowledgable about MO I figure I ask here.

I need to deposit about 5k in cash to the bank. But since they don't accept cash deposits I need to buy MO first. Where can I buy one with least amount if transactions?

walmart 1000 for .70, kroger 1000 for .69 at my area.

Not sure if the glitch has been fixed or not yet. The CS cashier said yesterday was my lucky day. There was no mo fee at Walmart yesterday. I got 6K and no fee.

I got $4k from Kate and got charged a fee on each one. This was about 10am eastern. This must have been from the CS cashier only.

This is somewhat state dependent. For example, VA limits fill-in-the-blank MO to <$750

A lot of Internet only banks don't have a means for customers to deposit cash...Please don't link the mobile cash deposit thread.

Can't the OP just deposit the cash in to anther bank and write a check to the bank he/she wants to deposit. Why someone doesn't have at least 5 checking accounts, I will never understand.

Because people have to start somewhere and probably can't sign up for 5 accounts simultaneously. It's possible that the OP does plan to get multiple accounts, including one that offers physical branches, but s/he's not there yet. IDK.

Why do you buy from Kate instead of CS desk? Kate charges twice as much per $1000. Is it because she doesn't have eyes and/or an attitude?

Uhh .... no. That's not true. I buy $1K MO's at WalMart pretty much every day.

VA law *does* require that MO's issued in amounts >$750 be filled out in front of the CSR. At least that's what the signs at the WalMarts say.....
