Buxx cards can only be loaded with a Visa or MasterCard.

NW Buxx

•Max ATM per week: ($200 - but only if specifically enabled online, including PIN setup). No fee for some Allpoint ATMs (no way to know in advance if the Allpoint ATM will ding you $1; check your account carefully and call if necessary to reverse the $1 charge…IME 2/3 Allpoint ATMs do charge the fee).
•Max spend per rolling 7 days: $800
•Max # of CC on file is 2.
•Max balance per card: $1000
•Max of 2 loads per CC per 7 day rolling period.

If you card fails to load, check to see if there are at least 7 calendar days between loads, make sure the load won't bring your card above the maximum balance, or try the other CC.

Funding with Citi cards codes as a purchase for NW Buxx.

Hey! Fellow New Yorker here! You can do 2 loads per credit card per week...

Week 1: Load $500 each on NW cards #1 & #2
Week 2: Load $500 each on NW cards #3 & #4
Rinse and repeat....

How many does it take to receive the cards?

I would like to know how many days does it take to receive the cards? I have ordered them last Sunday (so it's like 6 days since I ordered) and still haven't got em yet? What's the usual timeframe they arrive in?

If memory serves, mine took quite awhile to get here. Longer than I expected. I would give it a few more business days.

It has taken more than a week for the card to arrive each time I've ordered one. I would say give it at least 10 days before getting too concerned.

The way the timing works, you can't load more than 2 loads per CC per rolling 7 days, so depending on how you spaced out the loads, that will be a possible limiting factor for $4k of loads on a single CC. You have to schedule it methodically.

How limits work is so shady, they have no information on their website on this.

There is limit of $1000 per month per teens card, whichever method you adopt, and you can't load more than 2 loads per CC per 7 days. Correct?
So as aquaguy mentioned is the only viable option.

I have read somewhere, in each teen's account the balance can not exceed $1K, is this true?

Is there any monthly limit on how much you can charge to your funding CC?

Kind of ironic to call them "shady" when most of us here have no teens using these cards.

Age is how you feel on the inside...not what it says on your birth certificate. I'm definitely a "teen" at heart.

I know that the account can't exceed $1000. My daughter's account had $600 and it wouldn't let me load until I lowered it to $500. I think the limit on the cr card is $2000 based in the 7 day restriction but I'm not positive. I have charged $1500 on one card in a month.

NWBUXX new teen was added, there is pending purchase on credit card used to open the account, I got e-mail with order confirmation but I do not see teen name in NW profile?

I already had 4 active teens and one was closed last year. I know they allow upto 5 teens, does the closed account count? or it is 5 active account per address?

It believe CC limit is across all parent accounts.
If you have used same CC# on two parent's accounts. you may not be able to load more then $1000 within span of 7 days for both parent's account. Max limit is $1000 per 7 days per CC# across all parent 's accounts.
Note: It goes by CC# and not account. For e.g. if you get two different CC # for same account; one CC # for owner and another CC# for authorized user, Then NW Buxx will consider them two different CC #.

Please confirm if anybody has different experience.

I had added Chase United MileagePlus Explorer as a funding option couple of days back, and then ordered a new teen card. Went through without a hitch, card issued, transaction shows up as pending in Chase. Today I tried loading $500 to the other Buxx card on my account using the same card - the system said "Your order could not be completed. Please try again or change your payment method."

I did not get a FA from chase, so not sure who's blocking it. Do you guys have any ideas? To clarify, the United MPX has been added as a funding source in only one parent account, and I've only 4 teens cards across 2 parent accounts. It has been used only once (to order the 4th teen card), which is still under pending authorizations (could that be the issue)? I've tried twice, but don't want to push it in case my account gets flagged/locked out etc.

Any ideas would be appreciated - I need to hit minimum spend on the United, hence need to load from that only.

Solved it - thanks FT (Page 41 of this thread to be precise). My CA limit is set automatically to $1000, and the load of $502 pushes it just above so that the transaction is denied. Guess I'll have to wait till the first transaction posts, freeing up my CA limit! (Tip to myself - search FT thoroughly before posting )
