It seems Chase is being selective - no Chase MC at all works - only personal Visas so far.

Anyone know or have tested if 2x/3x/etc spots will only come in as normal purchases or actually get the proper points?? I dont particularly trust the DP's reporting on this article.
Went to Subway today and bought a bag of chips with it..lets see if it comes through as 2x on my sapphire. It was super easy and quick though!!

Looking forward to seeing what opportunities come up with Apple Pay.

It is a very elegant solution to mobile pay.

Hopefully I can get my 3 Ink cards linked soon!

I wonder if you will be able to load your Subway gift cards and other gift cards which offer an incentive for you to buy them.

For instance, a $25 Subway gift card includes a free 6-inch sandwich.

Problem is, Apple Pay has a limit of 8 cards. While gift and other loyalty cards don't have to be locked down and put into the Secure Element, it would be nice to be able to load them on your device, rather than fishing for them.

Panera Bread, another chain that supposedly supports Apple Pay, also has a loyalty card program too, a barcode that they scan when you buy there.

Sounds like I can use this in other countries where NFC works already. Can anyone verify?

Going to Tokyo tomorrow, so I can try it.

Some people have been able to do this successfully in Taiwan. I suppose it should work in other countries as well

This isn't going to change the MS game one bit, except for the fact you can wave your phone to pay rather than swiping card. #pointlessthread

Honestly, i think thats a good thing. Cashier will be more comfortable if they can just look at your ID and the credit card.

Tried it in Walgreens with beans, cashier was willing to process, but it took only 3.95, demanding the rest in cash.

Can the mods please rename this thread. It's sensationalist and just inaccurate.

It'll be interesting to see if/how CurrentC can be utilized in the MS game. Coming in 2015.

http://www.businessweek.com/articles...king-apple-pay

"Objections to Apple Pay aren’t actually about convenience, reliability, or security—they are about a burgeoning war between a consortium of merchants, led by Walmart, and the credit card companies. Rite-Aid, CVS, Walmart, Best-Buy and about 50 other retailers have been working on their own mobile payments system, called CurrentC. Unlike Apple Pay, which works in conjunction with Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, CurrentC cuts out the credit card networks altogether. The benefit to the merchants is clear: They would save the swipe fees they pay to the credit card companies now, which average about two percent of the cost of transactions."

Has to be "Apple Pay has nothing to do with the MS GAME!"
I bought the damn iPhone because of the damn catchphrase
Now I'm missing on deals from ISIS/softcard. They have to open NFC for devs to have a chance with currentC IMO
