CHASE recon CSRs really do know more about MS
Just got of the phone with a recon CSR for the last time regarding a ink plus application filled out yesterday
She did not take as much time looking at my app as she did schooling me on the ins and outs of MS
I was too shocked to speak Thoughts? Reactions?

Let me be clear I DID NOT admit to anything
She didn't ask she said
You engage in a risky behavior known as Manufactured spending which originates in place like CVS blah blah Office MAX blah blah we know you are just after points
"We read the blogs just like you guys do"
Mind you I MS on Chase cards very rarely
It is my daily spend card. Between my Chase cards I have all my expenses on it
Such as directv etc

I'd bet most people @ Chase in the card department understand or at the very least know the process.
It is a necessary evil for them. We're really not that unprofitable - swipe fees exist - and we do make their overall numbers look pretty. The cost to upgrade systems to weed us out of their systems far outweigh any losses we cause.
I work at a big bank. I still use archaic programs/systems that date back to the 90s, and we are in a revenue generating section of the business that generally gets IT preference. Nevermind the old programs Operations gets stuck with.
Big business moves slow and we're far too nimble. Just a fly nibbling on the backside of a rhino. Only the most stupid and greedy flies get the horn.

Why is this a surprise to anyone?
MS has been going on for a long time. It's no secret. As posted, they too have access to the internet and Google. It's not difficult to figure out what's going on especially when the charges are increments of $206.95 or $50x.95.
This is why I don't abuse any of my CCs. I don't go any where near my CLs.

MS is set up by the Banks, they do cost/benefit analysis and have the agenda we are just the tools, they use blogs to market their program and forums like FT to promote it. We take the risks and do all the work.

I thought there was a code where nobody was going to give you out as long as you keep quiet about it?

So you called recon and the rep looked at your current spend and started pointing out the CVS and Office store purchases? Is that the reason given for the denial?
