800-950-5114. Non-US agents are, as of at least August 15, 2015, able to do debit card payments. If they resist, ask for a US agent.
Please do not report that debit payments do not work over the phone, they do! Hang up and call again (HUCA) until you get someone capable.

The same thing can be done in a Citi branch, but you do not swipe the debit card or enter any PIN, so it seems likely that the same cards do/don't work in branch as over the phone.
The name on the debit card must match the name on the account. You can be an authorized card holder (they'll ask the name of the primary). You can also pay off Citi Business credit cards (only attempted as primary cardholder). Limit of one payment per debit card per account per day.

Debit cards that work for paying Citi cards over the phone.

Assuming it's a temporary thing since bank debit didn't work either, but curious if it's related to my account or global (I'd assume there'd be others posting if it was a global issue like their debit system was down but you never know).

Well this is certainly unfortunate. Will reach out to others I know to test or I will myself after work.

Have you tested our favorite BIN from a particular online merchant in a while?

Tried just now on a card that had been used before; still doesn't work. Any DPs to the contrary?

Assuming you mean a card that was only partially used? My last attempt a little over a week ago failed.

I do miss this. I was ordering 2.5k daily. Got stuck with 6 orders. Still holding on to some hoping it works. You can trade the in at store for for free (during promos) and get pesky $200 ones that work, but that's way to much work.

Use the cards that don’t work to purchase cards that do.

Looks like another BIN bit the dust today....

anyone else having issues today? I’ve been using a specific BIN for years that’s worked as recently as yesterday, but today it’s a no go. I’m hoping it’s a temporary IVR problem

Guess I know which one you are talking about. It just failed a few minutes ago here.

The one that’s failing can still be used at Plastiq for a 1% fee if this situation does not resolve itself at Citi. I tried a different BIN than the one that’s failing and it still works so it’s not a global problem at Citi. What are the odds these two BINs both stopped working within a month of each other?
