800-950-5114. Non-US agents are, as of at least August 15, 2015, able to do debit card payments. If they resist, ask for a US agent.
Please do not report that debit payments do not work over the phone, they do! Hang up and call again (HUCA) until you get someone capable.

The same thing can be done in a Citi branch, but you do not swipe the debit card or enter any PIN, so it seems likely that the same cards do/don't work in branch as over the phone.
The name on the debit card must match the name on the account. You can be an authorized card holder (they'll ask the name of the primary). You can also pay off Citi Business credit cards (only attempted as primary cardholder). Limit of one payment per debit card per account per day.

Same. She asked if the name and address match the account, and I said they did. She also asked if I wanted the details saved so I can use it in future. I just called the number on the back of my Citi Business card and asked to make a debit payment and got transferred to another CSR.

I've seen the PayPal and meta bank don't work. How about paypower? For those that used Univision, were you able to pay without activating the pin? Have an even $500 balance that needs to be paid on my citi!

I believe that "pay by phone" should work for every major banks - amex, barclays. Did anybody test it?

Collections mostly deals with delinquent cardholders. I could even hear a rep. in the background negotiating for payment with someone behind on payments. If some deadbeat is able to pay with a debit card, citi will gladly take the payment. During my call, the rep was a bit surprised that I was paying in advance for a bill not due until next month. Clearly not the client collections is geared for. If collections gets a flood of MSers trying to pay in advance in multiple $500 increments, I think they will take notice and may set restrictions.

I just downloaded my Chase United Explorer statement. Page 2 has a block of phone numbers, including one for "Pay by phone." I haven't tested it yet but if they're providing the number they must accept debit payments.

Nope. Feel free to try but Chase only accepts ACH payments over the phone using the routing and account number from a checking account.

Any word on whether BanCorp works for this (for example, the OV cards)?

This is a route that seems destined to raise eyebrows and garner unwanted eyeballs to one's account if prepaying with $500 gcs. Just how many CSRs will be flapping their mouths over the series of odd requests to prepay non delinquent accounts before supervisors take note?

If I were you, I would not do that....
It is not worth saving pennies and losing $$.
(Of course, my promo has already expired, so I am also jealous of anyone who still has it :-)).

Datapoint: Used MVD for a $2500 payment. Very straight forward. Just wanted to know if name on card was my name. No request for address.

MVD statement shows this as a PIN transaction (even though no PIN was requested), and therefore, a $0.50 charge.

I would suggest that if we want to keep this going, DO NOT make $500 payments from gift cards.

Tomorrow will try the TD Bank Debit card - though I believe there is a max transaction limit of $2000 - need to double check this.
