Read the wiki carefully before posting. Wiki may be out of date.
800-950-5114. Non-US agents are, as of at least August 15, 2015, able to do debit card payments. If they resist, ask for a US agent.
Please do not report that debit payments do not work over the phone, they do! Hang up and call again (HUCA) until you get someone capable.
The same thing can be done in a Citi branch, but you do not swipe the debit card or enter any PIN, so it seems likely that the same cards do/don't work in branch as over the phone.
The name on the debit card must match the name on the account. You can be an authorized card holder (they'll ask the name of the primary). You can also pay off Citi Business credit cards (only attempted as primary cardholder). Limit of one payment per debit card per account per day.

Thanks!
I've always used touch. Switched to voice after a little back and fourth I was able to get it to work after a few min.
Edit: After playing around with the menu on touch tone, I just let it keep asking for a bank account number then after a few times it will ask for a debit card.

M1 Plus debit card works as payment, but does not appear to earn 1% back. Someone please add this to the wiki (I'm not yet allowed).
I'm surprised there aren't reports on more rewards debit cards listed in the wiki, especially the Discover debit card but also newer crypto ones.

I will edit the wiki to add M1 Plus. I agree it's helpful to highlight whether cb is earned on the bank cards that normally earn cashback. It was reported early in the thread that Discover debit doesn't work for Citi.

Hello. I recently did a test transaction with my Citi Double Cash to make sure I was getting the bonus. I just bought something for $2.99 and saw it posted however I didn't have the 1% Thank You points yet in my account? On average how long does it usually take for the points to appear after the item is purchased or the debt is paid off? Thanks I was afraid I did something wrong or needed to activate my Thank You points somehow and wanted to make sure before I started doing actual MS purchases.

As in the statement for the month? It just still says 0 Thank You points and its been maybe 2 days after the transaction purchase posted. I wasn't sure where to post this perhaps a brand new thread I didn't see anything similar. Thanks for your help, I'll look elsewhere to post this discussion.

No cashback with coinbase debit card
I finally got around to trying the Coinbase debit card to pay citi. The transaction went through, but there's no cashback earned in the coinbase app. They must've changed something since it looks like this used to work for others. It took a few days, but did end up earning cashback
