I use Quicken. The key for me was creating an account for gift cards. All GC purchases for MS are recorded as transfers to this account. Then I deduct the fee amount. BB loads or MO deposits are transfers out.

To check if everything is accounted for, just add unused GC value + MO on hand and it has to equal balance in account.
