Warning: The T-M website contains an apparent Bill Pay function. Attempting to use it to pay credit card bills, or probably any significant $ amount bills of any sort, will get your account frozen. Ditto large scale ATM or MO withdrawals. The one method of unloading likely to keep you under the radar is small scale WM BP. Also likely to get you shut down, according to consensus reports, is running much more than $5K a month thru your account. You ignore this advice at your own risk.

SUMMARY

1. FAQ's
2. Free to use for TMo customers.
3. Issued by Bancorp
4. Load at T-mobile store (Registers are HARD CODED not to accept anything other than cash.)
5. or Reloadit, (find a grocery store that sold reloadit cards with a cc)

List Stores hard coded for cash or Credit Card accepted
T-Mobile (cash only)
Home Depot (cash only, hard coded)
Harris Teeter - Bought with CC on 2/16/14, hard coded denied CC on 5 APR 2014
Winn-Dixie - Hard coded for cash (debit may work, untested) as of Oct-2015
Meijer (Cash/Debit including VGC)
Giant Eagle/GetGo (Cash, Debit including VGC )
Safeways/Vons/Pavilions in California - most only Cash
Food Lion - Manager override now required. Many stores cash or bank debit only, but registers are not hard coded.
Save-A-Lot: Hard coded cash only
BigY: At least some stores have gone cash only as of 1/8
Acme in PA: Hard-coded cash only (Source)

Note on ReloadIt Cards
These come in two main flavors, up to $500, and up to $950 (there are ones that go up to $50, too). Both are $3.95 load fee. The older grey cards, have CASH ONLY on them. Even if the cash register is coded to accept it, many cashiers will be hesitant to even try, or get shut down by manager.
The maximum value reload will be $2,500.00. There is no maximum number of times you may value reload your Card Account per day; however, the maximum dollar amount of value reloads you may make to your Card Account in one day is $2,500.00. We will accept direct deposits larger than $2,500.00, but any direct deposit value reloaded to your Card Account will count against the $2,500.00 daily limit.
Value Reload Fee: Each time you value reload $300.00 or more to your Card Account in a single transaction, you will receive a credit for any fee you paid. If you are a T-Mobile Wireless Customer and value reload your Card Account at a participating T-Mobile Wireless location, you will receive a refund at the register (and will pay no fee for your value reload). If you value reload your Card Account for $300.00 or more via another method, we will issue a credit to your Card Account in the amount of the fee you paid.

In practice, a ReloadIt >= $300 loaded via the safe will receive credit for the fee. However, the terms formally state "Please note: Value reloads made from Reloadit Packs that have been placed in the Program Managerís Reloadit `Safe' are not eligible for any fee credit." so this is not guaranteed.

The Limits:
Daily limit: $2500 during a rolling 24 hour period
Monthly limit: ?
Annual Limit: ?
Max Bill Pay (per transaction): = $5000 (tested March 6th, can do 'at least' a second for the same amount to the same payee momment later).
Daily ATM limit: $500 (rolling 24 hr rather than calendar day)

Total monthly bill pay limit: ?
The maximum value of your Card Account is restricted to $10,000.00

FAQ
  • My fee did not get refunded. Has there been a policy change? ReloadIt Fees are processed overnight and could take 24 hours after you reload the card. As of 9/2015, ReloadIt cards added to the safe prior to loading on T-Mobile will still get the $3.95 refunded.
  • What is a safe transaction amount? There is no definite safe or unsafe amount. However, starting the last week of Jul 2015, people have been reporting the account frozen after transactions larger than $1K.
  • Can I use the BP Feature? It works well for some people. Many have reported getting shutdown after using it. A few have reported having the payments lost. Like all MS activity, use at your own risk.
  • Should I mix in some regular spending to make it look like this is my primary card? If it makes you feel better, go for it. However people who do this still get shutdown.
  • I can't log in. Did I get shutdown? Possibly. But more likely the website is having technical issues. Call in, o try to make a swipe purchase and test it out.
  • If I pay my taxes with this card, will I get shutdown? Large purchase raise red flags. Taxes are no different and there are reports of people being shut down for doing this.
  • What is a T-Mobile wireless customer? A qualifying T-Mobile wireless customer can be either a postpaid or prepaid customer. Source: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/24790705-post3703.html

There is a ton of good info, unfortunately how can someone read 250 pages... More of those posts should have better summaries. As such, that is why a lot of same questions.... Not to say there would not be any if there were good summaries, but there would be a lot less.

In any case, going to run to stop and shop and play with reloadit cards.

Question , another aspect...

Is anyone successful at buying reloadit cards at homeyd with a homeyd gc?

Feel free to pm me.

Also... Was thinking if the fees are low... You can load the tmo card with money gram... What are the fees with money gram?

Gc at pharmacy, to money gram deposit to tmo, out through bill pay or anywhere else. No need to deal with buying paper orders.

Every thread should have an updated summary. If newbies are not properly informed they will make mistakes, argue or say things out of ignorance which will mess up for all of us.

Not to be worried. Bloggers work hard to classify, reveal and popularize MS methods. Just a little lag exist.

Has nothing to do with being spoon fed.

With that attitude, let's get rid of sharing deals and this forum all together.

You don't need to spell out everything, but... look at CVS thread. 250 pages, and good summary.

a lot of others... hundreds of pages, no summary and people say.. "go read 100 pages".

The issue with that is, people will always ask questions, but... is it just those, or the people who quit on looking at it.... so they do not read and ask more questions, only pissing off more "experts" and adding to the problem of more pages.

Summaries of easy to find info should be there.

... but we digress.

or at that rate...

Please remove my posts that I went to a tmobile store to find out.

Go to the store yourself and find out it is cash only for reloads and registers hard coded.

With MS... you can guess the purpose and end result.

The game is safe from those who don't get the game or why we are doing it.

It is evident from the fact that when you go to the stores, the rules are not against card people, but against actual problems like money laundering.

So even with all the forums and blogs... it is still not shut down.

Heck... when I activated my Amex Plat... the rep on the phone ENCOURAGED me to go buy gift cards to then pay for expenses for places that do not take amex, or check only.

Go figure that one.

May be we can be enlightened why HIGC died in two days in public, why so many Go Bank, Account Now and similar accounts are closed for even minimal activity?.. And if one see reason why this one is any more reliable than base paypower product and need histeria on public forums with post's subject like this?..

I agree with the whole Fat Wallet, Slick Deals effect.

I will say though, I do also think there is a difference between using the system and abusing the system.

For the most part, I hope folks here are the ones who are using it.

I do also know that the FW and SD guys are ONLY out to make a buck, for themselves and will ruin any deal and abuse the system.

Personally, I am opposed to screwing it to small mom and pop stores, as well as banks by going out there and opening multiple accounts for self, etc. I will play by the rules.

Same with tmobile... I have 5 lines with them, they get paid by me every month, so if I can use them to help me towards rewards, I am ok with that. =)

My issue is with the attitudes by some members that we should not help anyone that asks for help.

We have to accept the fact that THERE WILL BE new people, google etc to MS.

It cannot stay a hidden club.

So... a lot of the complaints with new people, can be addressed with simple FAQ's and Summaries, that are in everyone's benefit. or ie a MS who dealt with VR to BB, who now is looking at Paypal. We are experienced with it, but someone please save me sanity from reading 37 pages of no concrete answers, in hope to see the one post. Worse is... people will say go read the posts... yet they link to nothing in particular.

Once again, we don't need to go out and explain WHY we are doing MS, but some things can be helpful. Ie. look at this tmo thread... 5 pages already?

For the summary, there is NO HARM to put...

1. Free to use for TMo customers.
2. Issued by Bancorp
3. Load at Store or Reloadit
4. Registers are HARD CODED not to accept anything other than cash.

These are the answers that are helpful for people in the "Game", and give away nothing, and are extremely helpful and would prevent 5 pages and new posts for the same questions.

No one has to mention anything else about this account or what the purpose would be.

Makes sense?

Sigh.

People did the research, posted it. Some of us actually took the time to read through threads because the questions already have been answered. Not just pop into one and say "HEY! How does this work?"

Do we have to spell it out for people? Circles and arrows? Actually hold their hand and show them step by step at the store on how to do things?

So answer this for me...

Should I of not posted that I went to the store and found out cash registers will not let you load with plastic?

Or... something I found through the activation process?

There is nothing good for the community if we can't share in a basic manner stuff that is not hurtful.

It is one thing we got into this thread at page 1, but it is already page 7. If this works the way I envision, and this is now 200 pages, should a new person to this method, not necessarily to the game, be told to go read 200 pages?

If so, screw this than, and I will not share anything.

Look at my post above and in the example. Tell me how that information is somehow bad to add to a summary?

Btw, this topic title needs to be changed. It is obviously misleading and not true.

In any case, activated two cards as a tmobile customer, found out something interesting that I think makes a difference for activation.

Thanks, Yes. =) Sorry, typo in the heat of slapping away at the keys.

Hard Coded to not Accept ANYthing but Cash, not even debit cards.

Edited my post.

Also... when you activate the card online, they again ask you for your tmobile customer number. Does not transfer over from the store.

I believe they ask at the store to make the card free, and again you put it in to waive the fees.

Going out to buy some reloads to see how it works.

Also, tried the mobile app, not bad... BUT the check deposit has to be AT LEAST $5. I could not load a $2.17 check.

Also, at the store, you can only get card with a load. You cannot just get a card. Min load $20.

I did change the title, but only a mod can change the one in the topics listing. Take a look at my first post, you'll see the updated title.
