Best way to MS on INK plus to hit 5k.

Is the best way for me to do MS on the Ink plus, to buy VGC at Office Depot or Staples and then go and load those on to my bluebird account at wal-mart.

that way I get 5x the points.

If you can find GCs/VR at gas stations (I can), then it's a little more complicated.

Gas stations (2X) $500 GC @ $4.95 = 1000UR pts for 0.5cpm (0.4 cpm if its a VR)
Staples (5X) $200 GC @ 5.95 = 1000UR pts for 0.6cpm

Trying to spend 5k:
at gas stations, will cost you $4.95 x 10 = $50 and net you 10k UR pts (on top of the 50k bonus)
at Staples, will cost you $5.95 x 25 = $149 and net you 25k UR pts (on top of the 50k bonus)

So you could pay an extra $100 for 15k extra UR pts by going the Staples route (0.67cpm).

Plus you have to factor in that you should also be paying your cellphone/cable/internet bill during these 3 months, thus reducing the amount that you have to manufacture. And don't forget that Staples/Office Depot/Max sell retail/gas gift cards...so actually filling up your tank should net you 5X as well not 2X.

Personally, I was lucky enough to get my Ink when Office Depot was still selling $500 GCs so my first 3 months with the Ink netted me 75k UR pts for about $30 (I spent about 2k out of the 5k on cellphone/cable/internet so only had to manufacture about 3k)!

You might also prepay your phone and cable bills.

Have you had any success liquidating the gift cards? Recently, WM has stopped loading Bluebird from prepaid cards (at least the WMs I visit). Often the gift cards at gas stations and grocery stores are Metabank or US Bank which seem to be way more trouble than they're worth. I end up with thousands laying around in GC and the trouble to liquidate isn't worth the stress and additional fees.

In 50+ MetaBank or US Bank loads, I have only had 1 error. Oddly enough the error solved itself the next day

Yup, never had any issue with these cards. I'm more comfortable with MetaBank cards though and buy them without a second thought.

use amex serve to load 1K/month. I believe you need 5K within 3 months, so amex serve will provide 3K of your spend if you time it right.

Gas Station can be had for $3.95 assuming you find one that doesn't mind selling you VRs with CC.

Staples $200 GCs are $6.95, not $5.95.

I see on staples its 6.95 a card but the most I can get is $100 GC online. I also keep hearing stories about WM saying they need a non-GC debit card to load BB, but what about getting MO with those GC.
