Visa ReadyLink

Does anyone have any experience using the Visa ReadyLink reload? Specifically is it possible to load on this network with PIN Gift Cards or another reload network buy (greendot etc)? I am looking to push past the bluebird acct and do not want to play the SSN game for duplicate accounts. In addition I do not want to deal with any of the Green Dot shenanigans. Access to this network seems like it might open up some more options.

Any help would be appreciated. If any reply needs to be offline please feel free to PM.

Thank you in advance.

Getting "it in" is easy, getting it out is hard. For example, READYdebit, Kaiku, etc., etc., can do it. With MoneyGram (Code 7034), there was a fee like $4.95...it wasn't cost effective for me.

The "in it" would be to load some sort of debit card (still doing research on the best option) and use it in much the same manner I have been using other cards.

Yes, but the overall cost for me was ~$10 (buying GC then load to PrePaid). It just doesn't make sense at all to take this route for me. If you have a debit that earns like Delta/AA miles or something, might be OK to get it in...but then why not just use the debit for BillPay, MO, etc., etc.

I am assuming this is a 500$ for 3.95/4.95 plus the additional fee to load onto the network plus whatever the fee added to get out of the network.

That's ~$10. I did not include fees (if there is any) to get it out. Around here, I have no alternative but MoneyGram for the ReadyLink (well, I think there are a couple more...haven't tried them or interested in finding out).

You're lucky you can get the $500 for $3.95. Cheapest around here is $4.94; that's WM.
