As always, YMMV from store to store and cashier to cashier.
Any product affiliated with InComm or ITC Financial Services(like Vanilla VISA, Vanilla MC, and OneVanilla VISA) will not work for swiped-PIN transactions exceeding $49.99.
NO variety or design of VISA or MC Gebit's auto-drain at Walmart.
You cannot successfully swipe more than 4 cards in a single transaction.
Before you swipe, the cashier needs to know how much you want removed from each and every Gebit because they need to type in that amount. Of course, the Gebit must have a current balance of that amount or more otherwise you will get Error 51.
Very few Kate's can sell money orders anymore.

Buying Money Orders at Walmart(2013-2016)
Hello
I need to get one money order (MO) urgently but the below options failed. Need help
1. Used BB at WM but was told that they cannot accept BB for MO
2. Used vanilla visa card with PIN @ USPS & it was declined.
Note - plan is to use either BB / Vanilla (or some similar cards)

You can get a money order at a walmart kiosk, so you don't have to deal with an employee. Check this thread to find a location

Many WM kiosks that I have seen have the MO function disabled.
BB is not a debit card.
MVD or Vanilla debit will work to buy MO at WM.

BB is not a true debit card so you cant get MOs with it.
Post offices are being blocked by card issuers for cash like transactions.
Use your GC at WM to get a GC.
You can swipe up to 4 GCs per transaction.
If your cashier is skittish I would so for one 1k MO (two $500 GCs) and come back as many times as you need to.

2. Use ATM @ WM withdraw cash from BB then buy MO at counter

Using Vanilla $200 Visa GCs for MOs at WM
I was not able to use $200 Vanilla cards from OD to buy a MO at the WM counter, but was able to use $200 MetaBank cards from Staples.

Weird, I had the same problem using vanilla $200 GC (purchased at OD) to load BB at WMT.
IIRC, the swipe failed with transaction error: 51.
Later, I checked the balance to be $200. I have bought bunch of these at OD and loaded them to BB/GB at WMT. I thought it was some fluke or the clerk not keying something properly.
I am going to try again tomorrow..
