Since google wallet is free now....has anyone tried to use it to pay rent?

The next question will be, do you get points by using the credit card, I have Chase Freedom.

I may ask my landlord about this. But probably not for another month...don't want them to feel rushed or like I'm trying to pull something over on them.

Would be interesting to see if GW flags the transaction (LL has same address).

Even though it should work, the landlord may say no when they realize they have to sign up for it, assuming they don't have it... I'm just putting myself in the shoes of anyone who has no clue what GW is.

It's working nicely for me! Knocking out minimum spends very easily.

FYI, under $1k (but close to $1k) transactions cleared almost instantly via diff credit cards, but my $1k transaction is still pending.

Expecting it to go through but we'll see.

I cleared a 90 dollar payment, just tried a 900 payment.

The last two uses of my amex business gold on google wallet for a nexus 4 and a conference my wife is attending both earned double points for the Advertising category so hoping these transfers work for 2x points too.

$5, $450 and $850 cleared pretty quickly. Just did a $1200 and it's pending for about an hour. Seems like $1k might be the magic spot. Not sure if multiple transactions going to/over $1k would avoid this or not, but i would assume no. $1k/day seems ok with me if this works :)

Just got my account and my wife's activated the other day. I sent her over 4 grand as the first test (ha). It took 2-3 business days to clear. Just cleared now. Initiated withdrawal to her bank. We'll see how many days that takes.

Did you withraw the whole 4K?

But you still get hit with the 2.9% fee right?

Yes 100% withdrawal. We'll see if Goog emails her account about it.

We are currently in a promotional 0% fee period. @:-)

i am not able to send any money fom my wallet. i understand from reading on dansdeals you have to have someone send you a penny that has google wallet active to be able to send money. is there a conga on here for this? or can someone pm me that may wan to send me a penny.
